Piccies please!!!!
My dad took my aunt to see the family home he has found during his research, beautiful stone house built in 1641. When they were looking at it they realised the owners were home so he introduced themselves and explained they weren't stalking the house and the owners gave them a guided tour of the entire house including bathrooms and they shared some of the history. Bizarrely the current owner looks very similar to the rellie that owned it but there is no connection. One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

I've started on the piccies!
That sounds wonderful about the stone house! The only chance I have of anything like that is the family of my maternal grandmother - they were greengrocers and small landowners in the second half of the eighteenth century, living in Bolton, Lancs - I've never tried to find any of their houses, but I might well do soon - get a bit more detail on them, it would be great.
I'm just running about doing stuff right now, not even looking at the trading - I'm out of the house at 9am, so I hope everyone has a good'un, nobody works too hard, and everyone lifts their face to the sun, just for a minute or two :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Thanks!
I've spent the whole morning on admin, since 8am, not even looking at the trading ... it would've been quicker if the new printer was up and running, but its not yet, not even out of the box - thats how much admin I've got to do! But things are coming along. I think my fascinator arrived yesterday, I'll collect it this evening as the main PO, and go food shopping as its near to Sainsbo. And my food processor's just arrived from ebay as I was typing this - and I've come back before unpacking it, how dedicated is that :rotfl:
I had a really good day yesterday - almost a full day with family, so lots and lots got talked of. And cos my mum was there, we didn't disappear into the depths of the garage to do yet more decluttering
I swear I'll type this post and do the photos
lots of work today, and even more tomorrow, so I *have* to do it now.
Oh, I did manage to look at Martin's email - got HP7 Pt 1 for £7 from Amazon, used the gift voucher from Toluna that eventually arrived, so free-to-me
ETA - erm, photobucket used to have a few albums of mine, including one I linked to on here.... now when I go to photobucket, all I get is a page of links to nothing at alll .... going to have to figure something out...
ETA again - did. its dot com
