Wow KC, I've missed a few days and you seem sooooo energised! :T :T Go you! :T :T Sounds like you're having a great old time at the moment! :j :j Will be watching progress with interest0

must have missed details of the book you're all talking about, please would you mind repeating for those at the back who weren't concentrating ?
Same here, I've sort of read bits on various threads, but its passed me by a bit, but have to agree with el about americanisations, they do tend to annoy me. In fact no matter what I do, this site reverts to american spell checker, and is now complaining because I haven't put capital A.
I couldn't give up my tv license, even though I watch very little TV, but maybe its precisely because I am selective about what I watch that it doesn't bother me. Visiting Mum, and one of the things that bothers her, is that she's missed out on her soaps and house makeover programmes. But then she doesn't have to pay for a TV license any more either.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

To be fair, it is a proper noun. Add it to your dictionary if that bothers you."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Firefox, and on most sites its fine, but on here it tries to convert my spelling.

America is a proper noun, it's the name of somewhere or other, but I refuse to put americanisation in my dictionarythat implies I want to use the word.
I think I've spent too much time with my friends children! We have enough of a language barrier with teenagers, without them speaking a different version of English.
I am one of those odd people, who, when I do use text messaging, refuse to use abbreviations. As near as possible, proper sentences!Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I do that as well. I've even used colons in SMS, which for those that don't even use vowels is shocking.
In Firefox, goto Tools menu, Options, the Content tab, then "Choose..." under languages. Make sure you're en-gb."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

KC is back :T Sounds like the break did you wonders. I am another who will follow the changes you make due to the book. I am a procrastinator and I really don't have enough time to waste at the moment so any tips will b a big help.
Send me the model and serial number of your laptop and the printer by PM and I'll check out and hopefully find a link for the download. there should be one as many of the netbooks and even my half size laptop don't have disk drives. One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!
2015 - my Amazon Gift Certificate mini challenge - saving to buy small household electrical items.

You should be able to get a driver for your printer KC, even if its just a generic one that works with most. That's what I've had to do with my netbook, load a generic HP driver rather than the one specially for my printer.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Welcome back KC, sounds like you had an amazing time away
DD and I have done some exploring this weekend thanks to MrA taking us to a few "new" places for a picnic and walk (well, we walked, he basked in the sunshine).
You sound so refreshed and reenergised by your trip away, and sounds like you're taking lots of positive steps0
