Morning KC.
I'm intrigued as to how to live the millionaire lifestyle ... must have missed details of the book you're all talking about, please would you mind repeating for those at the back who weren't concentrating ?
Thank you

Not a problem, El, don't worry, I know its tough to post at any length from a phone. I think the Americanisms have to be accepted, frankly - I was wondering what the book would have been like if it was written by a British person, and it would have referred to British tax laws and methods and used British ways of speaking - tho because the market is so much smaller here, you'd have to include a note about America, probably.
I'll certainly be writing on here about how I'll be adapting the book to use for meeven in my post above (no 1206) I already mentioned some of the things I plan to do, and some of the ways that the book *isn't* relevant to me.
The first thing I need to do is get clarity. Next week is dedicated to that - a lot of therapy work on Monday, travelling to the coast on Tuesday to meet up with my partner, Weds and Thur is some therapy work but not too much, and Friday is free. So the jobs for next week are:
- erect the kitchen table thats sitting flat-packed in the kitchen.
- check out software situation with You Are All Helping Me about installing a Dell printer on another brand laptop, and if thats not possible, buy another printer - the present situation is so inefficient its really, really wasteful of time.
- catch up on letters to write and admin to do.
- get rid of the fallen tree in the middle of the grass, so that I can keep on top of the garden.
From the beginning of April, I'll be writing in my blog again too. I feel a new diary coming on, I've found my focus.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

On the iphone here so bare with me
I agree with all those bits and like the way he is looking at things ( so far) i think its probably ( for me anyway) more just the americanisms of the book more than anything else .... I would love to read something by either yourself , hypno or firewalker on the subject ... I think it would be more palpable for me
Will try and explain in more depth later
Funny you should say this, El. I obviously did like the book - although there is one point where I think one should be very careful. Although we need to identify things that are 'time-sucks' and unimportant and not do them, different things are important for different people and groups. And in organisation one should work with others (the selfish part of productivity should be negated a bit). Works well for people working for themselves, I beleieve.
Loved the fact that there were 'Questions and actions' sections rather than 'answers'. But a lot about finding a muse and the practical arrangemets will have to be 'translated' for Europe and the UK.

KC, as you know I finally started a blog couple of days ago. How about a guest post on how did the $hour week made sense to you? Hope you will say yes!

Hey KC welcome back. Oh you do make me miss Liverpool from the descriptions you give. I love Liverpool very much indeed. Such a fantastic city and warm, loving, friendly, funny people.
You sound so energised that I am sitting here feeling shamed into action. I must read this book, I have signed up to his blog and started reading over there so I hope to understand some of what you talk about. Elimination is a good one. I have culled my FB friends this week. Got tired of reading some updates from people who I have no idea how I befriended. Felt good. I have also unsubscribed to several email updates from various things and deleted some threads on here. It is quite liberating. I realised I was starting to feel guilty for not keeping up now that is just silly.
Amazing that you have decided not to renew your TV licence. Only thing I caution about is that you will now start to get letter of the harassing variety from TV licencing because they just dont believe that people have a life!
Glad to see you up and happy look forward to seeing you progress. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
