To make you feel better after your garage experience, the Nissan Qashqai is a money pit so don't even consider it!! We have just traded ours in after first 2 services cost us more than £1400 and it had had lots of warranty work done on suspension and trim issues so got rid before the warranty ran out - shame as loved the car for looks but not economical (so traded it in for a brand new Audi convertible??!! :rotfl:)

But well done for not going into town - I would not have been so sensible!!
You are doing very well - I seem to take 2 steps forward and one back on my mortgage-free journey - thanks for the inspiration xx

:naughty::naughty::naughty: Tut tut tut TG. I am still alcohol free since Sunday :A. This of course has nothing to do with the fact I haven't been able to taste a thing since Monday (literally nothing - have eaten slices of ginger and whole pickled onions and have tasted nothing ). Hasn't stopped me eating as I fancy tasting something. Anything!!!!!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Ok, so bigg, what your saying is I shouldn't get the Nissan but I should get an Audi - what about the Q5??:rotfl:

GG your so saintly I could scream!:p

Hubbies away, I've done a bit of tidying up (a little bit that should read!) had tea of pasta with pesto which I really didn't enjoy:(. Having a glass of Merlot to recompense!

Did a mystery shop earlier but the website is now down so am unable to write up report - boo bum - will have 5 to write up tomorrow now:mad: I hate the reports, always easier to do a few at a time.

Oh well off to trawl the boards!!!

  • Why are men so disorganised??

Hubby has gone away with work but forgot to tell the credit card company, I get a text message from the CC peeps at 05.01 telling me there is a security issue:mad:
Managed to eventually get hold of hubby who very sheepishly told me he was a plonker (like I didn't already know that:rotfl:) and that for some reason he has to pay for the hotel rooms and claim it back from work when he gets back...note I say hotel rooms, he is having to cover all four - no sense no reason - oh well the male species is sent to confuse us ladies!

Anything that is proud to have something so hideously repulsive dangling from its nether regions is always bound to act a bit strangely. Mind you at least its only 4 hotel rooms. OH got stitched up for 6 for on a trip to Egypt on top of being told by head office to bribe the customs department with cash to get some stuff released faster. Clearly he declined since the accountant in question refused to cough up for a bottle of coke from a vending machine because they can't provide a reciept. Mind you I'd have been v. tempted to say I'd given them £500 and thats why it took 2 weeks not three to get the stuff released.
Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.50
  • Hubby reliably informs me that he has sorted out the CC issue -I finally managed to get hold of him by emailing his work mail knowing that he would not be able to resist looking in to see what he was missing back in the good old U.K.

I have written up last nights MS as well as todays three:A. The only money I spent today (other than essentail MS spends) was £2.50 on a wobble type board to stregthen my knee - my bargain of the year form Buy-Ology - interesting, if very cold shop!:money:

Am currently sat on the sofa with my PJs on, lovely snuggly blanket over me and some 'mood lighting', the trouble with this lighting is the keyboard is very difficult to see, I didn't realise until now how good my touch typing was!

Managed to beat my highest score on Word 'something or other' on the ipod so am a happy bunny:rotfl:

Could really do with a very early night after this mornings early rude awakening, however I don't think the doggy will be to keen to be sent to his bed pre 8pm!

Had our monthly mortgage statement through, seems we are currently paying just £47 ish of interst per month - result! Especially as my signature amount owing is the exsisting mortgage minus the savings we have, actual mortgage is just under £52,000.

Hi TPA, thanks for popping into my new diary. I laughed when I saw your outstanding mortgage is less than a 10th of my goal... congratulations on getting it down so low so quickly. You and your hubby should feel very proud.

I'm looking forward to getting some inspiration from all the MFW diaries.

Hi TPA, thanks for the encouragement... to answer your question about my avatar, she's my mum's dog, but she is pretty adorable. Her name's Droopy, because of her ears! My own little family consists of two !!!!! cats - my little flat was too small for a dog, and I work long hours, which means a dog wouldn't get walked as often as I like. Cats are that bit more independent.

I like your avatar too! What is it?
