PS. Cha, is your mother doing a home check on you:rotfl:
I sincerely doubt it. She does an annual visit, May bank holiday when we have a BBQ here. Other than that, we go to her as she is a busy lady.
So we are not due a visit for quite a while.
Dog visit sounds good. Hope your pooch likes them too.0 -
What did your dog think though???????
He appeared to like him, although new doggy has recent had his goolies chopped so wasn't in a particularly playful mood! Our doggy tried to 'hump' the foster doggies daddies foot...a good night all round!:rotfl:

Hi, TPA.
I have recently started favouring Tescos over Sainsburys, and can completely see why you're an addict!
Good luck with the dogs,

Long old day today, long borring day:(
Tomorrow we have our home check to see if our house/garden is suitable for a dog:rotfl:As much as I know everything is fine, I am still nervous.
Spent a small fortune buying bits and bobs for Max; the new doggy, and of course some treats for our current monster. We have gone for single thick quilts and covers ordered from Tesco, these are easier to wash and dry and our current dog loves nesting in his. Then theres bowls, lead, collar, name tag, car harness...hmmm, this is an expensive dog!
Ah well, seems like a small drop in the ocean compared to the 4x4:rotfl:

I best follow your thread closely. I will see all kinds (like tags) that I haven't thought of yet. I have an old cot duvet of the kids I was going to give the dog, but no idea where is best to get the tag. I can't imagine me leaving the dog unattended anyway, or off the lead, but you'll have to keep giving me tips.
Hope the home visit goes to plan.0 -
Cha apparently it is against the law not to have a name/telephone number on your dog. We got our last one from Pets at Home, buy the token at the tills and the machine does it all for you, you get to choose the size colour and shape. The children's old bedding will be fine, especially as you are getting a pup and he will chew at the beginning!

Thanks for that. I didn't know it was against the law. I will not take it anywhere and let it off the lead anyway. Never ever have with any of my parents dogs. I guess the danger is if it accidentally escapes from the garden. I'll look into it, so I guess we need to do the name stuff pretty quickly.0

Yeah your right it is a legal requirement, we had our chipped, so didnt have a tag thinking the chip was enough, but got told about the requirement at puppy training!!0

We passed! The home check went well so soon we will be a two dog one cat family:eek: Checked with the kennels and putting them both in whilst we're on holiday will cost £268:eek::eek: and thats without the cattery cost:eek:
We have also booked him into dog training classes from the 8th October, should be fun:rotfl:(Thats another £50) and further £19 for a recommended collar and lead..oh dear this money saving lark has really gone to pot:o

So far so good. Maxi has settled in well, he is asleep on my lap at the moment, snoring. The cat is not amused and our other dog is trying to be bossy but is more subdued than anything.
We have spent a small fortune (actually its not so small:eek::rotfl:) Oh well, it seems the theme for September.
