Studio [Mail Order]

Hiya!

Does anyone else use Studio? I've made my first order with them, and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to buy Christmas presents for 11 people with wrapping paper and bows and the like for under £80 - a fair few being personalised. I was tempted by the 'further reductions' catalogue they had, and the free tin of roses [apparently] with orders over £20 :)

The main reason for my post at the moment is the delivery. It's due any time, and I've had problems logging into the site to check it - but the ladies who I've spoken to on the phone have all said it's on the way - I know they use home delivery network, does anyone else have experience with how good their delivery is?

Thanks :)

I have also ordered from them and had problems logging onto site. My first delivery arrived but still waiting for my other one. It bugs me that I can't seem to be able to track the order
  • Studio are ok as long as you pay the balance every month, there,s a hefty interest charge if you dont.
I have a deep burning indifference

I'll have it all paid off by Christmas - thanks to the credit card *blush* but I'd rather owe them the money rather than Studio. Thank you :)

ambernora - that's my problem exactly, I have to keep ringing up to ask things cos I just can't get in. Though the lady I spoke to today said although she couldn't give me my account number over the phone for data protection, if you ring up and ask for it - she'll post it out :)
  • Smickan,

I wouldn't use Studio again after the problems I have had with a very recent order. I also spend about £80 and got 11 presents and wrapping paper for Christmas including 3 personalised princess dressing gowns and a personalised towelling robe, two came in the wrong size so I had to send them back and re-order and when they did show up I was not happy at all with the quality, they looked and felt very cheap and were all creased and the towelling one had so many loose threads and was all crumpled, but I cannot return them as they are personalised. I will be embarrassed to be giving these as presents to my god daughters and niece, they looked so nice in the catalogue.

My 11 items including those that had to be re-ordered arrives in 6 pakages, which is very annoying as I wasn't always in and had to go to my post office depot 3 times to make collections, they were spread out over a 4 week period too.

They also charged me for P & P twice for one order, although I did get that refunded, after quite a lengthy call to them of course!

So all in all I wouldn't ever use them again, I paid my balance off in full which I was always going to do but I could have got much better quality goods on the high street and the personalisation wasn't worth the extra at all, it was a cheap transfer and I wouldn't be surprised if it came off on the first wash.

I have used Studio in the past and have never had any problems with their delivery - it does take a little longer than most companies, but the items were always correct.

Thank you for the replies! I'm sorry to hear of your bad experience with them, Sarah!

My order has been split into two because of the stuff that needs personalising which is all glasses. [2 wineglasses - one with a gold intital/name on it, and a Jack Daniels glass] and there's another snakes and ladders board game with shot glasses that I've ordered two of - one for a friend, the other for my sister in law. Everything else should come in the first order, though the shot game says allow 28 days... which would possibly mean a third delivery.

I'll have to keep an eye out to make sure I'm not charged more than one P&P cos - like yours - it was all done in one transaction so one p&p is all it needs.

I'm glad you got it all sorted in the end though :)

    Gah! Doesn't bode well :P

I guess I'm just impatient, I don't like waiting in for something that may or may not come today. They say between 7-10 days so it could be any time now between 8-6

I know it's been dispatched and... grr! I want it now

I too would never use Studio again. I ordered a sofa bed a couple of years ago, which I never recieved. They said they had delivered it and kept demanding payment. I constantly phoned them and told them I didn't have the sofa bed - I even suggested they come to my house to search for it!!!!
It ended up with them sending a bailiff round to my house. I had get my solicitor to sort it all out.
    NOT GOOD

  • We used to use Studio but stopped as the items were never very good quality and one box was marked fragile glass but the courier still dropped it over the side gate when no one was at home.
