He was telling me some things one night and I asked him to stop because although I was flattered, I was also kinda embaressed :o

I then told him that I didn't think it was wise to talk to him anymore about certain things and left the conversation as it was. I thought about it though and realised what a huge mistake I'd made.

I tried to speak to him again when I seen him in the street but I didn't get very far.

Ah, then I expect he is just fearful of overstepping the mark and is trying to respect your wishes. He probably also realises that it hasn't been that long since you split from ex-OH, and maybe wants to give you some space first.

If he likes you, he probably doesn't want to be a rebound guy. Not that he definitely would be, but he may be cautious of that and doesn't want to ruin things.

I don't think all is lost there. Just give it some time and maybe try to laugh off the previous convo with something like 'Oh, don't pay any attention to that, I was just having a bad day. There obviously wasn't enough chocolate in my bloodstream.' (OK, my example is lame, but I hope you get the idea).

I totally forgot to post my other PAD!!

I had forgotten to cancel my Identity Protection insurance I have with the CC, and they just took another premium. Which has gone up to 79.99!!!!! Sheesh!

I didn't notice before the 14 day cancellation period either. Rubbish!

Anyway, it's cancelled now, and parents have lent me the money to clear the balance again (to avoid any interest). So, that plus a small amount of trailing interest makes for a PAD of 80.91 GBP.

  • I didn't tell him!

Mary, maybe you should tell him? He was saying things which flattered you and you told him to stop - maybe he thinks you're not interested?

You could always tell him how flattered you were by his comments, but that you asked him to say no more as it was a wee bit arkward / embarrasing? I do hope you manage to sort it out...

My washing machine seems to have packed up  it fills with water but doesn't empty so I'm guessing that the crud from my DH's clothes has blocked it up somewhere along the tubes. Could be a wet kitchen later :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Pad today for me of £11.34 please f_f. Hope the new poddypod's filled with tunes and making your journeys more relaxing once more!

Thrifty Pixie; well done on the weight loss! That's a great start, how are you doing it? I did sign up to Weight Watchers online but I didn't seem to get on with it. Please, share your secret :)

    Bye all

  • hi all,

An overly eager £5.62 for me today.

    All the best to everyone.

Yep, I read too much into everything too....

I can't really give advice as I'm so rubbish myself but maybe you just need to confront it head on? I tend to stew over things and build them up into huge things in my head.

    Go for it xx

Sounds familiar it means my advice is usually more what NOT to do.

    Bye all

    Diz

I'm no washing machine engineer but it sounds like the outlet pump might need replacing.
Was the machine noisier for a while when pumping out the waste water?
Even if it wasn't, it may still be that.
  • Oh man, I've got it bad!

Just leap on him and rip his shirt off.
At least you'll know one way or t'other.
Might find out if he's a true greenskin too :)
  • Grr my car ended up costing £240 as they replaced another part. They have decided they think they could take my gearbox apart, only replacing the bit that is broken (drive shaft) so waiting for a cost on that.

Angelic, do whatever you think is right. It's easy for me to sit here and say TELL HIM but I know I always regret not taking the opportunity when offered.... Many times someone has shown an interest in me but my defence mechanism is to not take it seriously, laugh at them and avoid whatever may have happened.

Sorry I'm not padding at the moment, still deciding what to do about house move as my old flatmate has put a spanner in the works so may just get a place with the third girl now. Just want to get something sorted asap. Off out for dinner with MrS anyway... my treat tonight but I've told him he is making dinner tomorrow.

    Have a good evening x
