Thank you jayjay & boysma. It is lovely knowing I've done it at long last. I [STRIKE]have[/STRIKE] had been in debt for 20 years (more than half of my lifetime ) and I suppose I really started tackling the problem properly in 2007 after a few half hearted and failed attempts.

I thought I'd feel really happy but I just feel exhausted but then I have worked like stink to get the bonus (it's all based on turnover & profitability so all those 50+ hour weeks have paid off!) We're off on holiday on Tuesday so I'm really looking forward to the rest.

What an odd couple of weeks - all those bank holidays created havoc with the bank balances, it didn't update for ages. The good news is I must have done super-well at work as my bonus was more than I expected.
