Paul - have you tried calling LTSB and asking if there are other offers available? They might be able to do you a LOB if you explain there is more debt that you could transfer.

If you don't ask you don't get
I hadn't actually thought of that but that is a good question.
I will phone them in the next few days to ask.
Even if they were to do it around 10% LOB that would still be well worthwhile for me.
I remember when I originally switched a load of debt to Halifax, that was an unusual way of doing things. There were actually some credit card cheques (it was a while ago) and two of the cheques were LOB around 6.9% and the other two were time limited 0% cheques. I used the LOB cheques and they got it wrong LOL. They actually gave me 0%. I wanted LOB though because I knew it would be a long term debt.
All credit to them though. They went through the records, acknowledged their error, and corrected it.
If LTSB are prepared to do me a fair LOB deal, I would transfer a lot of debt onto that card. In fact, everything that is currently at a higher rate than the rate they might offer to me.
I do have the credit limit with them to carry that too.
Of course, these days there aren't any concerns about the possibility of needing to spend on a card to which you have BTd. Obviously it's better to avoid it, but at least the more expensive debt no longer gets trapped until eternity.0 -
