  • Hi Guys,

Been slacking on the PAD but have managed £9.78 to the barclaycard today, they have written to say they are increasing the APR from 17.9 to 22.9 so I think i'll be calling them to say I want it closed.

Just a quick question though, if I do that does it mean I have to pay the balance straightaway?

    Morning All,

Another PAD of 11.41 GBP to the Virgin Credit Card.

This was an unexpected rolling subscription to WoW. I didn't set it up or ask for it. Anyway, I queried it. They say it's in the terms and always been like that (not it hasn't!), but they are refunding the money anyway. I expect that this was a gesture of goodwill, especially as I haven't used any of the game time.

So, a little annoyed it was set up like that, but am pleased they are refunding the money. And they responded to my email within 45 minutes! I can't quite believe it!!!

    Have a good day all!

    xx

Not usually, but I think they can if they chose.

Usually though, they just stop you from being able to use it anymore, but you can continue to make monthly payments to it in order to clear the balance. This is what has happened with my Halifax Credit Card. It is closed, but I'm making repayments to it each month.

£25.24 today for me jj please split between long term savings and frivilously random savings :D

Brown_suga ~ I'm no expert however I understand that if you reject the interest hike, the account is closed so you wouldn't be able to spend on it but you are still able to pay it off via monthly repayments rather than in one chunk

  • Morning all!

£5.51 this morning. I have a suspicion that this is a council tax free month, but will wait til tomorrow to PAD that money, just in case.

I have no idea...I'll phone welfare rights maybe in a mo or email SJ to find out. They'll know...it could well be...I'll be well chuffed if it is :)

Noticed Milk at FF had gone up from £1.50 -£1.60 yesterday  - still a good buy (for 2 4 pint cartons) but why did no one on here tell me?

Want a treat but don't need one. I'm feeling awful cos I'm tired...simple. If anything I need orange juice (it's a good pick me up...all that vit c and sugar) not wasted money on stuff that can wait till finances are healthier...
