and our vendors have asked if they can push back the house move date...if there's anything else coming can we please get it over with before i drive home? i'd appreciate that. thanks.
So sorry to hear this, Spiral. It's a bit pathetic when people who call themselves HR can't behave better than that. I hope the worry with the vendors is soon sorted out. :grouphug:'Whatever you dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin now.' Goethe

Oh heck, just caught up with the posts...I tried quoting then got muddled up, so many...so can I just give a great big huge hug to everyone. It really means a lot to have people wishing you well.
Had the injection yesterday morning in two places into my tendon. To be fair that was ok, it was when the anaesthetic wore off that I was climbing the walls. Anyway had some painkillers and went to bed after I got back from work and didn't get up till this morning! But today it does feel like it might be easing it...so fingers crossed, but not my thumb :rotfl:
Really happy for you Lola on the help with uni stuff. I bet that's a big weight off your mind.
Spiral when I read you were in tears on the loo floor my heart went out to you. Things surely must start to get better for you?
Inspirespirit wishing you tons of luck in your interviews.
Kerry did you get to the exhibition. How was it?
Sorry for not doing more quotes but as usual sooooo many uplifting supportive messages for each other.
I have to think of a little reward for myself now, it's allowed... Sandra said I could have a treatette
Take care everyone and big hugz

Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and wishes re my job hunting.
This is a great thread with really kind people. I'm trying to keep up and get used to all the names.
Spiral. Re my sons autologous stem cell transplant - it is like a bone marrow transplant. The autologous part just means using your own stem cell/bone marrow instead of a donor. They give you drugs to make your body produce extra stem cells. They then 'harvest' them, freeze them and do whatever else they do, lol. Then my son was given huge doses of chemotherapy until he had no immune system. They then defrost the stem cells and put them back in. the hope is that when the new immune system kicks in, the old illness will have gone. It was a huge risk but his life had become unbearable. It has helped a lot but wasn't the cure we were hoping for.
Hope you are feeling better after your dreadful day at work.
I'm still trying to get into the swing of 'frugaling'. Definitely spent a lot less so far this week.
I have noticed if I give my lads 2 or 3 courses at dinnertime it stops them snacking all night. So have been making soups, and last night we had bar-b-que ribs that I got from Ald! for £2.99 (not majorly cheap I know, but there was enough for 3 as a starter and made a change) and they were absolutely gorgeous. Just as nice as you would get from the chinese.
anyone think of any good/cheapish starters I can give my 2 6ft big eating sons please?0 -
Hello all,
Hope you dont mind me posting. Im a serious lurker on this thread. I had hoped to take part but life went a bit pear shaped in the new year and everything went out the window. Getting myself back on track now and feel ready to start chipping away at my debt again. I regularly have a read of whats being said on here and always find it inspiring, uplifting and humbling to see the progress that you guys are all making. When I'm feeling overwhelmed I often make a cuppa, sit and read and start to feel that its all manageable again. You are an inspirational lot and it just seemed rude to not say thank you! Best wishes xEggmoney= £2400Santander = £1950 Virgin = £100000 -

Hallo blondemuppet! No need to apologise for lurking, just pull up a chair, help yourself to a cuppa, and make yourself at home.We are a motley crew here, all ages, and sizes, with various degrees of talent, in different fields.
Some manage f-a-r better than others to stretch their money, but we aren't in competition with each other, just trying to do the best we can with our purses.
Even 50p saved a week, or even a month, is an improvement, and that's what we're all trying to do. Welcome to our merry throng!
xx
PS Spring has definitely sprung, cos I've had my first insect bite this year!0 -

Haven't posted in a few days about anything frugal, mainly as I haven't felt very frugalI have all my receipts ready though and an hour with the SoW awaits me tonight...!
It's payday tomorrow, so I'm going to sort out the finances tonight and post later on to confirm if I've been frugal or not
Dinner on Sunday was a roast chicken (tasty Willow Farm one from Tesco, reduced to £2.45) and I made enough leftover yumminess from it last night to feed myself and Mr Fresian for dinner and to give me some tasty lunch.
I've been trying to get my head around the current Te$co DTD promotion, but think you have to be a bit smarter than me to actually profit :rotfl: I think I might leave it to the professional MSE-ers!
Hope everyone is getting on ok with their frugalising.....Frugaldom, it was nice to "see" you online. You're an inspiration to folk like me who sometimes feel like they're playing at frugalising!
