£1600 each for PE? Sounds more like the cost of UC.

Just wondering if somebody can recommend somewhere nice for me to take my GF for a romantic meal while in Vegas, preferably something with a view?

I've done some research and it looks like top of the world at Stratosphere, Picasso at Bellagio and the Eiffel Tower restaurant are all decent options with great views but it looks like either one would set me back around $250 for the two of us, while I'm happy to splash out that seems a bit steep, especially since were not exactly renowned food critics, it's more the view and atmosphere I'm after.

    Any suggestions??

When are you coming to Vegas? What sort of foods do you like? Would you be prepared to have a romantic lunch instead to keep costs down?

    Thanks for your reply

6th - 10th of October, We'll eat pretty much anything, although a good Italian would be nice.

It has to be an evening meal really, I will pay big money if I have to, was just wondering if there was a decent alternative.

Do a search on this thread (or it's predecessors) for 'Alize' which is an italian restaurant at the Palms who also do free (+ tip) limo pick-ups - not been myself but a few people have and from recollection recommend it - if it's anything like Nove (also italian and at the Palms!), it'll be brilliant.

EDIT - i'm being a plum - Alize is FRENCH! - might be worth a look - not sure i'd recommend Nove for something romantic as don't think it had that kind of atmosphere.

Incidently, gives me an excuse to post this picture which was the view from our table at Nove (they're flames on the picture from glass boxes with fires lit in them that were in front of the windows):

Try more like £4000 return Upper. Remember there are only 14 suites on the MAN and LGW planes
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

  • Ok well if it's a view you need then I would recommend Top of The World (Stratosphere), Mix (Mandalay Bay), Eiffel Tower & Mon Ami Gabi (Paris), Olives & Picasso (Bellagio) and Maggiano's (Fashion Show Mall). The views are to die for but you are paying for it in most of them. Maggiano's is a more family style place so probably not as romantic as you would like, but if the view is the main thing then it's fine and cost wise much easier on the pocket. All the other places will cost you so get saving!! Probably better off deciding before you go and pre-booking your table time. Some may be easier to get into during the week rather than the weekend. Don't want to just show up and be disappointed!!

Are you staying in any of the hotels where the restaurants are? Maybe you could call and see if they have any offers for guests.

    Thanks for the replies,

I've had a look at Mix, Alize and Nove and it looks like the $200-$250 mark is fairly standard so I'll read a few restaurant reviews and go for the best.

I really like the idea of the one at the top of stratosphere because of the view.

Were staying at the Venetian but I haven't read anything about the restaurants there.

    Anyway, thanks for the suggestions
