    Well exactly!

We arrive in Vegas in 21st Oct, wedding is not until 25th - so might make the reservations for 25th etc and then pop by (during happy hour  ) a few days before the Wed to make sure it is what we want!
    Married in Vegas - 25th October 2011!

    Hi All
Quick question - have any of you eaten at Roy's on East Flamingo Rd?
We are considering it for our post Wedding dinner. We were going to eat at Top of the World @ the Strat but after pricing it up it worked out at well over £100 per head .
I know Roy's is a chain but the type of food really appeals to me & H2B, and prices seem reasonable.
The reviews on Trip Advisor, Yelp & Open Table are all very favourable too.

Not sure on how many of you there are but we are eating at Maggiano's.

They have private dining rooms - we have one for our nine people and do a fantastic menu with 4 hour free bar.

All in including service charges, taxes, upgrades to the menu, wine, wedding cake, drinks etc... our bill is only about $1000!

OK, I have mastered the trick of buying gift certificates at 80% off

    Still a bit confuzzled however.....

Let's say we want to go to Top Of The World (I went a few years ago and the food was pretty good but the view is mmmmmm) I suspect I can only buy 1 $25 certificate each (cost 2 x $10) The minimum per person is $40 so if for example I spend a total $150 on 2 entrees & drinks the final bill would come to $177 (including tip) but would actually cost me $127? I got that right?

Can you use more than 1 certificate per person? (I think I can use up to 4?) so using the above example my total outlay would be $27??

    Thanks

No, its my understanding that you can only use one for two people at TOTW.

So Voucher is $25 - you pay $5 with discount. Total saving $20 although you still pay gratuity on this.

You still have to order two mains and cant combine with other offers.

Thanks for such a fast response

Not doubting you but where does it say this? I'm guessing there must be some t's and c's I am missing somewhere and if I have missed them here I'll miss them in other places.

Beginning to think these certificates are not the bargain I first thought! :o

You have to buy at least two entrees to use one voucher for starters...it says this on the T&Cs for TOTW.

Minimum 2 entrees. 18% Gratuity added prior to discount. Valid for Dinner ONLY. Excludes: Other Offers/Promotions. Present prior to ordering. Excludes Valentines Day, Mothers Day and New Years Eve. No split checks.

So unless you were going to order 4 entrees, you couldn't use two vouchers...even if it weren't for...

    4. Terms and Conditions for Restaurant-Specific Gift Certificates
All Restaurant-Specific Gift Certificates are subject to the following additional terms and conditions, as well as any conditions listed under “Special Instructions” on the certificate itself. The “Special Instructions” are listed prior to purchase on the individual Microsites and listing pages. In the event of a conflict between the terms listed in this Section, and a Special Instruction on a Restaurant-Specific Gift Certificate, the Special Instruction controls. Please review both these terms and the Special Instructions prior to purchase.

    • Only one (1) Restaurant-Specific Gift Certificate may be redeemed per party, per month, per restaurant, even if the party is seated at separate tables and/or receives more than one check.

They can be a great bargain - but the restaurants aren't in the programme to give away free food...they are in the programme to encourage people to eat there by giving a discount...

The T&C's are clearly stated not only on the site, but next to each restaurant before you buy them and, IIRC, you click to say you have read the generic T&C's that apply to all certs. They are certainly not hidden.
