It might load a little slow, but be patient
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

will probably be in rooms next to each other (I assume the MGM is like a familiy B&B and will only have about 15 rooms - after all you cant expect big hotels like travellodges in the middle of the dessert)

    !

My last trip report (linked on previous page) spreads over a couple of pages and includes pictures and words of a review of platinum. In summary. Fantastic! Let me know if you can't find it. Posting on phone at the moment

Obviously better than my first (and last) experience of the Platinum...Found the service utterly appaling

(and wonders which celebrity will be in the spa when we get there?)

Depends which showroom doesn't have a performance the night you arrive. Without knowing your date of arrival we couldn't tell you.

Our favorite hotel in Vegas. Stayed there about 4 times now, a couple of dodgy experiences that were always rectified by complimentary nights:j

arrive on the 20th Feb - hoping to find either Tommy Cannon or Bobby Ball in there (I assume they still dominate Vegas) - fingers crossed

what were your bad experiences guys? be intrested to hear...

we were only there a couple of days but the reason we couldn't fault it was the personal approach to everything, we pulled up in the car and out came the bell boy, he starts taking our bags and asks our name... by the time we were inside, our key was on the desk waiting and just need to sign a document and show ID - he'd taken care of it all - up into the room, absolutely massive room with everything we could want (jacuzzi, balcony, fridge etc) at a lovely $100 a night (IIRC - was stoneman's spring fling offer i think), with a free bottle of bubbly and free wifi thrown in too... when you went out and came back the people would still know your name and say hello

the pool was empty (well a couple of other people there) all the time we were there, and staff still kept coming out to check we were ok for drinks and food, no charge to use the huge sun loungers unlike the big hotels, and good sun all afternoon (didn't get to the pool in the morning so not sure if sun is on it all day!) - could really chill out there

went to the bar / restaurant, again it was quiet so we could sit and chat with the lovely bar maid, they had great offers on the food and it was an absolute bargain - the happy hour offered some great prices (both whilst at the pool having cocktails in the afternoon, and beer / wine etc in the evening)

it was just a great place to be away for a little while and yet still be near the action - plus we saved a fortune by having a fridge!! :)

if i'm really clutching at straws, the only gripe I have is you have to use their valet service - annoying but at least it's free (excl. tip!)
