MayMy last trip report (linked on previous page) spreads over a couple of pages and includes pictures and words of a review of platinum. In summary. Fantastic! Let me know if you can't find it. Posting on phone at the moment
Is it the one on the first page? if it is I just found it and printed to read through with the missus later. Thanks very much.
There are so many choices of hotels it a nightmare.0 -
Re: Q4 - I rang City and Show / Low Cost USA yesterday whilst making a booking for the Mirage to ask this question.
I asked the girl twice and was assured that the total cost did include resort fees. Having received the booking confirmation it clearly states "Includes Resort Fees".
We've booked with City and Show / Low Cost USA many times in the past and always found them to be very cheap.WestHamDaz wrote: »We are gradually putting together the pieces for our stay in June this year. Decided to stay at a few different places that we have experienced on our previous visits.
So far we are going with 4 nights at the golden nugget. After this there will be a 5 day stint somewhere (more on this in a minute) then we are at Planet Hollywood for 3 nights before finishing off with 5 nights at NYNY. Even now, 6 months before we go prices seem to be pretty damn cheap. This time Ive left the missus with the job of choosing when/where we're gonna stay and she's not doing too bad so far. Got PH for 3 nights over a weekend for under $100 a night, and the 5 nights at NYNY she got for about $300.
Now, the 5 night stint in the middle of all this is currently not organised. Tonight while flicking around a few links to 3rd party sites on here I have found via lowcostusa.co.uk what seems to be something that is too good to be true.
Aria for 5 nights from june 19th is coming up at £372 total price, if paid in full now. ($600ish) pricing up the same stay via the aria website is coming up $1120 before they add the resort fee. even !!!!!!.com's discounted rate comes up at over $900
So a couple questions, well maybe more.- how reliable are lowcostusa/cityandshow
- how does the Aria rate amongst the other similar properties
- would you book this at this price
- when they say 'total price' does this include the resort fee

MarchI was thinking of Viva Elvis or maybe Celine Dion for the day of our wedding anniversary, but neither shows on a Sunday, so I need some insipration from you all.
We've already seen Love and Jersey Boys, Ka & Mystere. Any thoughts on O or Le Reve, or something else? Looking to have dinner and show all sorted in advance for that night......
Still struggling on where to eat too but I've bookmarked some menu's for hubby to look over. :rotfl:

MarchAnyone see anything wrong with this projection......
Purchase $150,000
Per night $100
Commission $65
After IRS $46
300 nights $13,650
Replacements $3,000
Return 7.1%
Only issue I might have is that I wouldn't consider it a return until the capital outlay had been recouped. A more detailed formula would need to include any appreciation/ depreciation of the asset value, also there are no references to property taxes.
Also the withholding is on the total as is the commission i.e. 35% commission on the $100, 30% withholding on the $100 not the $65, leavibg you net $35 not the $46, you will be required to do that and argue the toss with the IRS after. Of course if you don't rent it out but only have a management company to look after the place the there is no withholding to pay.
As a foreign/ non resident owner you might also have to provide a bond/deposit for services and utilities.
Also no mention of the costs and overheads in purchasing?
I very nearly bought a place 2 years ago near Charleston mountains, a dream of a place but was let down by the survey.
Today for a $150k you can find some very nice 3 bed 2 bath properties in good areas for that money.0 -

We liked both...O was our first Cirque show and we were absolutely blown away by it...though the clowns could be annoying - I still think of this part where one laughs and it still annoys me. O is more Cirque-y. Le Reve was less Cirque-y, more dance-y but with lots of acrobatics...several songs you will likely recognize...Le Reve is in-the-round so you kind of feel more a part of it, maybe.
We thought Viva Elvis was good enough - but nothing spectacular to us...we found we couldn't help but compare it to Love which is totally unfair, but we did it anyway and it was so much less spectacular, so it kind of never had a chance.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

AugustApologies for all the questions but your just too helpful
Has anyone ever stayed at or got anything to say about THEhotel , Platinum or the Desert Rose?
THE hotel is my favourite hotel room, huge rooms as they are all suites so you get seperate living room. the only negative is it is a very long walk to the pool, but worth it when you get there.
The added bonus for me was that I had only booked a standard room at MB for about $79 and got a free upgrade to THE hotel.
Havent stayed at the other 20
