Great show (dont listen to stoneman he doesnt like any shows) But prob not worth $110 for front row, we went to Mirage box office on the day of the show and asked for and got discounted tickets, Cant remember what we paid but it was nothing like $110, we were half way back which was fine its not a very big theatre

Regarding tixs, the Mirage has 20% off atm which seems pretty good, I think?
Thanks!
See above post, ^^^

The season finishes at the beginning of Sept so I won't see them again as I'm not back over until end of Sept. shame as it's a great night out.
Interested in going to a game in August this year.
I've seen they start at 7pm for the evening games - How long does a game typically last & would it be easy to get a cab back to the strip after a game?0 -

Not far past fremont street so a cab would be easy and not to expensive. Not sure how many would be waiting after game though.
Most games are about 3 hours (angels v Redsox last week went on for 7 and 1/2 hours) The 51s dont sell out as they are not major league so not a problem getting tickets, I think we paid about $14 on the day for some decent seats.
Its nothing like a football match in England though, the crowds dont get very excited and are not very vocal , most have gone home before the end. I think they only go for the beer, hot dogs, popcorn etc etc. Oh yes and to try and catch a ball (you can keep it if you catch it)
I have also been to an Angels game and even though there were 40000 in attendance there was still very little atmosphere.
Another event to try is the ice hockey (wranglers) at the Orleans arena, that is great fun although I dont think they play in August0 -

Hardly a fair stat as the Angels -Red Sox game had a long rain delay mid game! It was great to see the few diehard fans getting to sit right behind home plate (usually $100's / $1000's) at Fenway with the game finishing just before 3am (or was it 2am ... either way it was late!)
The one extra innings game we have seen at LV was weird. 90% of the crowd just got up and left at the end of the 9th.
As for no atmosphere, apart from a few rivalries, its hard to get too excited with such a long season. There is a saying in the USa that goes along the lines of "Each seaason every team is going to win 55 games, lose 55 games and its what you do in the other 52 games that matters". So when a team having a phenomenal season still loses 1 game in every 3, its hard to get too excited!0 -

Didnt think it would be to long before my stat was explained, didnt think it would be that soon though!0 -

we thought it was OK - but not $110 worth...I would try to sit more middle than sides though - the way the stage is set up you don't see some of it from the sides...there are screens as stoneman said, but still, we wish we would have been more central. We paid about $86 each including taxes and fees...we didn't dislike it - we enjoyed it, but it didn't live up to the hype, we didn't think.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
OctoberWe wanted to go to something like baseball when we go in October. We were hoping to see the lakers game as saw that a couple of years back but its a week after we get back
Where is the baseball on? Is there any american football on near by?

Marchduchy - wow, what an adventure! At least it sounds like the more recent part was more exicting than the earlier part...hope the remainder makes up for all the hassle at the beginning.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
