I liked 21 too, but the book was much better - more or less always the case.

Oceans 11 is still our favorite Vegas movie I think.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

probably sunny but not sunbathing weather . it does rain and every so often snow in Vegas . but being in the middle of the desert the chances are it will dry .

probably a bit chilly for the pool then .

what room @ NYNY ? . we had a Park Avenue room which was just fine for us . you can get virtual tours of the rooms on the official website .

don't fret about the Rollercoaster going past your room , it does not disturb you and only runs in the day anyway .

I was looking at the rooms and it said Park Avenue with strip view and Broadyway where similar prices and I was just wondering which is better if you would know?

Look forward to hearing any view on Planet Hollywood.

We have stayed in the Bellagio twice, and on my last trip which was with work I stayed in The Mirage and Palazzo.

Getting married at the end of August/early September and we plan on staying at Planet Hollywood with our 6-8 guests. Thoughts being it's dead central, has a good wow factor resort feel, good dining and ok pool - any thought would be helpful.

For what it's worth The Palazzo is my favourite out of everywhere I have stayed but it's a bit expensive for the whole party.

We stayed at PH in November. The room was nice although a bit dark due to having such a tiny window, not a major issue as we were hardly ever in the room!

The bathroom was a little shabby with old fittings (I assume from the Aladdin days?) but nothing major and there was HUGE tub which was lovely. The in-laws ended up in a room with an accessible/disabled bath, apparently this was because we arrived on a Friday and there weren't many rooms left, they did offer to move them the next day but they chose to stay because the view from the first room was much nicer and they weren't too bothered about the bath.

The casino was one of my favourites, I thought it had a good atmosphere, very buzzing and modern looking compared to some of the others and hubby enjoyed the Pleasure Pit :rotfl: Mind you we didn't do much gambling, we just stuck to the slots but the cocktail waitresses came round loads.

We spent a lot of time in Miracle Mile next door. We enjoyed drinking in Blondies and we also ate at burger place which I can't remember the name of but it had a Hawaiian theme, hubby said it was one of the best burgers he had ever had and he likes to think he is a burger Connoisseur! :rotfl:

all subjective at the end of the day .

why not just see what you get and then ask to swap in the unlikely event you are unhappy .

you can waste to much time and effort trying to get the best of everything , and over planning things . sometimes it best to just see what happens .

I think the burger place you're referring to is imaginatively called "Cheeseburger" ! It was the first place we ate on our frst trip :) ... it was really good I thought, the coconut prawns were amazing... so good we went back a second time! Really good menu, and a great place for relaxed, simple American burger-style dining.

We have stayed at PH 5 times and twice when it was Aladdin. We really like it for position, rooms and dining options.
The cheeseburger place is called Cheeseburger at the oasis if its the one im thinking of in the miracle mile and we usually drop our bags off on arrival and go there first, agree that the burgers are good but have yet to try stripburger! We also really like Earl of Sandwich (located in casino) for quick really good sandwiches and cheap, you can sometimes get a voucher in booklet when signing for players club. We used to rate the buffet, preffered it to Bellagio but have found it not as good recently. My current fav is Wynn buffet but will be trying Cosmo in April.

Rooms- we have always tried $20 trick and never failed, we get a resort room with fountain view so nice and spacious with great bathroom. All rooms are really easy to get to from lift and no long walks from casino.

Sorry Ferf can't comment on self park as we don't use it.

Pool is ok but nothing special, no wow factor. Have stayed at MB with a better room and great pool but would choose PH over MB everytime. Have also stayed at Paris in a p room but didnt like bathroom so again would stay at PH. We go over to Bellagio occasionally but find the atmosphere a bit sterile, I prefer the vibe in PH.

Miracle mile is good to walk round, this is a great alternative if maybe some of your group don't want to be in the casino.

Only complaint would be sometimes slow CW but we like the atmosphere, music is good.

    Congratulations on the wedding!x:T
