morning ladies amazed by all the clicks on my post last night and many thanks for all the good wishes:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T
there are some subjects you can't talk about with friends and my sister is getting fed up with my moans :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Dh refuses to either talk about it or go to relate:(:(:(I love him to bits and still fancy him like mad and he is a great provider and father BUT I still need and want some affection(read into this word:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) and he is not bothered if we do or dont:(:(:(When i asked why he does not kiss me he just says things change learn to live with it !!!!
just read a letter in a mag about a man the same age who was percribed the blue pills but really was not interested.........just like mine:(:(,only time he shows interest is when we go away to a hotel but even then it is only afternoon or morning never at night and he cant understand why I would want a nice snogging session!!!
I was soo fed up (esp as he started watching a really nasty US violent film ) that I went to sleep in DS3s bed, funny thing was tho I expected to be cold BUT after my Lush bath(have to say dont like the bombs much as prefer bubbles and have told DH this but he still bought me bombs:()I was too hot and threw back one of the 2 duvets:rotfl:DH was all smiley this morning and asked if I was cold and why I had gone there?God men are stupid:mad:said there was no point sharing a bed with someone who did not want me and that it was up to him if/when I went back.Trouble is I do sleep better with him around and our bed has my lushious french linen sheets on.
Asked him why he married me and he said so I could cook and clean for him:mad::mad::mad:
my Christmas pressie from him were a necklace I chose myself,Lush bath bombs and chocies....not much imagination there then!I bought him loads of stuff that I had spent ages choosing......think I will stay in spare room for a while
agree with the candle thing ,time to use "best" clothes, toiletries etc esp as my age ,never know what is round the corner:rotfl:man from church age 52 just had a massive stroke and DS3s tutor sim age died within 3 weeks of being told he had cancer.........make sme think in 2 ways a/ should I accept Dh for what he is or b/ should I expect to enjoy what life I have left to the full????????
sorry to ramble!!!0 -
So sorry to read all this Rosemary. Horrible start to the year for you. If I were you I think I'd buy myself some nice bedding and tell him I'd come back to the 'other' bed when I'm good and ready! I do hope things improve in the way you want them to.0

Sniggers at "north of the border"! :rotfl: I just can't make myself do it! I'm glad I'm not the only one.Hi!I am joining this Challenge! I have loads of lipstick/eyeshadow/make up... and I barely use any :S I still do not know why I keep buying it! The only thing I should need at any time soon is moisturizer because my skin goes really dry. However, I am going to use instead the Bio Oil I have and cross fingers my face does not glow Lol. I should have some samples around too, so hopefully no moisturizer either until March. Actually... I might ask OH to buy it for my birthday!
:j:beer::T Welcome to the gang my lovely! :T:beer::jI love the OCM too
I'd love to try epilating but I'm with EH on the armpits... ouch! And it's such a small area that it takes only a sec compared to legs.
p.s. what did you get as late Christmas gifts out of interest (nosiness)?
I have the sort of hair that comes back really quickly dark and prickly the next day after shaving - as if affronted that I have dared to shave it! I like epilating because it lasts a little longer and the hair isn't so aggressive when it grows back. I'd really like to be able to do my under arms but so far.. I just can't make myself do it! (Especially as - as you say - it's pretty quick to sort them out.)
On the Christmas front I got some Sanctuary, some Yes to Tomatoes shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and some Margaret Dabbs footcare stuff.
It's all lovely - It's just that saw all of it in the sales and combined with the gift givers not being able to visit until this weekend it made me wonder....
I'm sounding really ungrateful aren't I?:(
It's just that if they'd told me that was the plan, I could have done the same thing - instead of paying full price and then paying postage to send it so they'd have it on Christmas Day :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Rosemary, my hubby's not very good at communication either, but I don't let that stop me from telling him how I feel in no uncertain terms.I use the "lavishly praise the good stuff and try not to acknowledge the less wonderful stuff" approach mostly.
He was joking about the cooking and cleaning I expect. (I hope!) :eek:Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -
hey just catching up with the thread. So sorry to read about everything Rosemary. I hope things improove for you and your husband. I do the whole praising the good things and not acknowledging the annoying stuff tactic too Jacks !! Myself and my OH have only been together 6 years though so we are still in the honeymoon phase so altough i cant relate to your issues personally i am sending you a huge hug and love xxxxxxxx:j First prizes back into comping after a break - romantic break to 2 to Venice/ Paris or Rome with romantic trip and a 42 inch TV and blu Ray amazing !
Thank you all so much and good luck guys and girls xxxxxx0 -
I think that I should be aiming to join this as well. I don't know what I have lurking, but I know that last year I bought a lot of soaps, and other bits and pieces and I still havent even opened them. My Mum has bought me a "hat box" of goodies, and my daughter bought me a Dove set.
I am parcial to Dove.!
I have just moved house, and stuff is everywhere!. I really will have to use things up. (for storage sake if nothing else). !
At least I havent been anywhere to shop so far this month. So I think I will be able to manage for at least January. Except for toothepaste. My granddaughter has a habit or squeesing it all over the sink!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
been using sanctuary spa facial oil(from Boots goodie box) okay at night but have treid in the day under face cream and for some reason it irritates my eyes even tho I don't put it near them:( so going to stick to night time use.
just bought 2 cat story books off amazon to cheer me up,makes a change from my usual move to france/spain/anywhere that's warm books.....I love Portugal but never seen a new life in portigal book...maybe cos language soo hard to learn:rotfl:
we had a few days in a place called paradise run by frank who went there on his honeymoon and loved it and decidedd to stay.He bought a place in the country with no road so he made one(well its a dirt track really) and moved out in a double decker bus....cool bananas as he would say!It is so beautiful and peaceful BUT BUT BUT there are snakes in the lake:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: so not sure we will go back!0 -
Hellooo:j
My first UU since deciding I was in your gang;)
Body Shop blueberry body butter...was very excited actually finishing a tub off before being tempted to open a new one:rotfl: WIBA? Yes, aslong as it was in the sale, I paid £3 for this tub in last year's sale - it smelt gorgeous.
Also daughter has finished a Colgate Plax mouthwash - WIBA? Yes, as she has a brace I like a good mouthwash to help her keep teeth clean.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I got my Elemis Sparkling Beauty set in the post today, am delighted with it!! Can't wait to use the pro-collagen marine cream but will try to wait till I've finished the TWO night creams I have on the go - agony!!! The other products look lovely too, will eBay the perfume and possibly the box and bag they came in.
tara I adore Pro Collagen Marine Cream. I've used it for about 6 years now and can definitely tell the difference if I don't use it. I'm a bit stingy though and don't use it as a night cream. Prefer something a bit thicker in consistency at night. Enjoy! What else was in your kit?Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I don't count nail polishes, should I? Considering I was bought 6 for Christmas (2 of which seem very similar!) perhaps not!Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Penny-Pincher!! wrote: »Can anyone recomend a really good hand cream? Due to extreme steroid useage over the past 5 years and still needing to take them, my skin has become very thin. I have to do my bloods up to 6 times a day, so the tips of my fingers get very dry. I have tried several creams but nothing works well. I dont mind if its a dearer one as long as it works.
Thanks

I thoroughly recommend L'Occitane hand creams. I used to suffer from chemical dermatitis and had to use steroid creams. Got fed up with these and tried the L'Occitane lavender hand cream which cured my hands. The Shea butter one is also lovely but a thicker consistency (the Lavender one is more gel like).
