I have a small dilemma: after raving over the Chanel foundation sample yesterday, I spontaneously decided to apply my No7 tinted moisturiser using a proper brush, rather than my fingers. It improved it so much there was hardly any difference between that and the Chanel. Which is good, because technically it will save me £20, but I really wanted that Chanel bottle for my dressing table!

Which one did you try if you don't mind me asking? Have been looking at some online but unsure which one to try. Also was it easier to put your foundation on with a brush? I tend to use my fingers, but wonder if it's worth investing in a brush.
Huge thanks in advance x:hello:No more toiletries challenge :T

Gave away a Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel 100g to my wee cousin last night.
I don't really like the 100g bottles, they are too hard to get the product out of....plus i have 2 500g and 2 250g bottles....and another 100g bottle to get through!0 -

Hey Mandymoomoo! I tried a sample of Chanel's newest formula - vitaluminiere (not sure of the spelling!) - it's very light coverage, much more like a tinted moisturiser. There are currently samples in quite a few magazines I think, like Elle and Glamour. I usually use No7 Dual protection tinted moisturiser in Fair, which is pretty good, but I've used it for several years now and am getting quite bored with it.
I bought a GOSH foundation brush ages ago and found it quite tricky to use at first because it made me go a bit streaky. I was watching a youtube video last night and the girl spent ages blending it, and that seemed to do the trick! I don't know why it makes such a difference, but my skin looked loads smoother than when I apply it with my fingers, so I'd definitely recommend trying it. I think GOSH brushes are meant to be dupes for MAC, and are a good price. HTH! x0 -
Quite a few UU's for me this week, although all were travel size!
- 2 x hotel showel gels
- Aussie miracle Moist Conditioner - not as good as the MM shampoo I thought
- Clinique DDM - my HG of moisturisers, I love love love it
- Clinique 7 day scrub cream - nice facewash, but far too pricey to buy, I love getting the samples at Bonus Time though!

Good morning all
Still havent bought anything and am surprised at this. Having to get inventive as we are out of bubble bath so its shower gel now being used. Does the job.
Its my birthday next week and have told mam, sis and eldest son who lives away during the week at Uni that I would like bubble bath or deodrant. Made sure to inform eldest as he lives in Belfast and has access to bigger stores to buy BOGOF deals:)
Went to the boots site filled a trolley realised I didnt need it and got of site asap!
So hopefully will head into Feb needing v little if anything. Been saving lots of money and realising the amount that can be wasted on unneeded items.

A boring UU for me of Tesco Vitamin E cleansing wipes. WIBA? Yes, they are cheap and effective. I have 2 packets of wipes left, both Wilko ones. I don't use wipes as often as I used to as I have been getting into the habit of using face wash and/or eyemakeup remover so that I use up the stuff in my stash.
As predicted, I've UU a dental floss.
Also finished the handwash in the bathroom (I'd filled the pump with 2 hotel mini bath foams from a Paramount hotel - this chain of hotels was taken over by Barcelo Hotels years ago :rotfl:). My dilemma now is whether to continue using up my bubble bath as handwash (as I don't have baths very often) or start using one of the posher handwashes/hand lotion sets I was bought for Xmas. I think I will start using one of the new handwashes and then when that's empty fill it up with bubble bath - at least it will look posher!0
