Rest Beanie, shame nothing v much is on the tv! keep wrapped up the weather report said snow in the north.

Hey Puds I told my students about your nightclub being firebombed. Is it 'cos they dislike clubs and drinking? That's what i said to my students. We started off with a lesson on the intricacies of the balance of paypments and when we looked at spending by emigrants, immigrants etc I ended up talking about Enoch Powell, the Rivers of Blood Speech, race riots all over the world. Jolly exciting lesson.

Any ideas on what to give my mum as a minder for her birthday?
Not flowers as they are too expensive this time of year.

When I went down to see Mam about 4.30 pm, I could hear she shouting/groaning as I got to the other end of the corridor. When I got there, she was lying almost flat despite them being told several times that she was to be kept upright because of her asthma and the risk of aspiration/choking. She was frightened and panicking and when she saw me, she grabbed my arms and pulled me into a hug and wouldn't let go until I settled her down saying it was alright as I was there now

She told me that someone had been at the window and she had been shouting to them that she couldn't get out of bed to open it for them or help them. She settled down after a while and started smiling and laughing again. She ate all her meal, then some ice cream and a cup of tea, and was releaxed nicely. when the nurse came with her liquid paracetamol, preventer inhaler and to put her nebuliser on her, I told her about the flat bed and that Mam had been so distressed and she said that she would 'speak to them about it' (the care staff). When I left she was fine, and getting sleepy :A
