I've been to see Mam twice today, at lunch-time with my brother and tea-time with my sister. Mam is good - she was having her hair done when I got there at lunch-time so she looks really lovely now, though she is definitely thinner yet again She certainly hadn't lost her appetite, clearing her plate of mince/gravy, mash, peas & carrots (pureed), a bowl of ice cream, tea and dunked biscuit, then tonight she lapped up her bowl of scrambled egg with chopped tomatoes, follwoed by ice cream and Milky Bar dessert!!!

She gave me a big big smile when she saw me and kept saying 'EEeee' and grabbed hold of my hand and wouldn't let go for ages

Spoke to the doc who said that they had asked Mam if she wanted to sit in the chair today but she'd said she didn't want to, but they will try again next week. We said it would be better to try to get her into chair when one of us was there to encourage her and keep an eye on her, so hopefully that is what they are going to do. We talked to her about it and she seemed keen to sit by the window, so she should manage it

But I 'talked' to him this morning by text throughout my train journey Was knackered when I got here, unpacked, came on here to say I'd arrived, went down to see Mam for 12 noon then took brother for some shopping. When we got back we had a cup of tea, I read the newspaper then came for a lie-down for half an hour, then down to see Mam again. My sister arrived down there about a half hour after me and I drove her home at 6.30 pm. My BiL needs the car tomorrow, so he dropped me off home when we got back and is dropping the car off when he has finished with it tomorrow lunch-time

My brother had our meal ready for me getting back and after having that, we watched TV for a while, then I've just come up to bed and having an hour or so on here before going to sleep - I'm all aches and pains, probably from the travelling and not used to sitting over the bed talking to Mam again, so back is sore - going to try to get a good nights sleep and hopefully will feel better tomorrow
