    Well done 3Dogs.

Thinking about it, probably going to have to sit with my friend and explain MSE a bit better to her. She is going to take a year's maternity leave, as she is still entitled to take it, (I read the leaflet all about what she is entitled to) and she will be on a reduced income.

Hi Aesop - no vitamins for me thanks!

Hi Mrs 3dogs, hows your mum doing, any improvement?

Hi Marru - i like that hot chocolate for pudding thing - something like cadburys highlights would only be about 40 calories

Hi Kit, sorry i missed you earlier when you were on the weight loss thread - are you ok? Why bother with footwear for getting around the campus, what you need is a segway:-) I can just picture you whizzing down the corridor on one trying to hold onto a 2 foot high pile of marking whilst dodging all the stoned students

    ----
For a short time, I'm trying to spend much less time on facebook and mse - it was getting really silly, maybe being on here 4 or 5 hours every day.
Under normal circumstances I dont really mind what i do with my time, but recently jobs that should be getting done are being missed and so ive got to put a stop to it (kicks own butt) as its now affecting other things in my life!

A couple of nights ago i couldnt sleep, i lay there and all i could think of were a load of looming deadlines - for example I bought 500 calendars for my customers and they were still all sat in a big box in my living room - normally i post them before new year, but this time , well its now toward the end of Jan so very soon it will start to get a bit embarrassing and i certainly dont want to have to bin six hundred quids worth of stuff. Anyway the point is, that i'm trying to make a delibereate effort to stay off the pc and catch up with jobs instead. Working from home does a have a big downside: that freetime and worktime blur together in a real mishmash !

Anyway whats all this about donkeys? are these seaside donkeys or happy donkeys in a field or ?

Steve i do like that nun joke... i'll try to remember it but i have a mind like a sieve when it comes to telling jokes.
    ----
I got a letter today from the hosp asking me to make an appointment - it was from the "eating disorders service" - getting a letter with that on the top startled me a bit, the dietician said that she would be asking somebody to contact me, but "eating disorder"! oo 'eck it just seems to make it all very formal all of a sudden.
The other thing is, and i know its only a silly stereotype, but the part of the hospital that the eating disorders clinic is in, is the same bit as where they lock people up for being two sandwiches short of a picnic!
sandwiches! picnics! doh! cant i think about anything but food!:(:o

Mam is about the same really Puddings, thanksf or asking - she's no better and no worse and we won't know any more until the stool tests come back next week

Hot Chocolate - yummy - we have a mug of that every night - HLights, Options, or shops own low fat variety -and yes, they are mostly 40 cals, except the fancier Options like Banoffee

And know what you mean about spending too much time on the t'internet but at least it is no keeping me from my work, just housework and ebaying

No-one thinks of being overweight as an Eating Disorder do they? That's all about anorexia and bulimia, we would have thought. But I suppose it is, when you think about it - as long as it is caused by overeating and not by some medical problem

I am hoping the donkey's near Steve are happy donkeys in a field though I do have bad memories of being dragged along a pebble beach by a donkey with my foot caught in the stirrup, when I was just a little girl  We sponsor a donkey at the Donkey sanctuary in Ireland - he is called Lorcan and has twisted ears from when kids chased him into a barbed-wire fence and his ears got tangled up in the wire :(

Blooming heck i fell fast asleep before the end of Criminal Minds, didn't see the murderer or anything.

It is good to have a break from here sometimes especially when you must get your work done. Sweetie 8 years ago i was bullied at work and i became very ill and depressed and had extreme weightloss (caused by stress) and the doctors referred me for counselling to sort it out. I have never argued with a dr before but i went a bit mad and told them they were wrong as it was caused by stress and i would beat it after all i was a survivor and not a victim. He said i had to go home and write down how many times i cried that day. I lost count at 23 times i think and then James (darling housemate - why didn't i ever go out with him? stupid me) came in while i was crying sat on my bed and told me I was depressed and pills and counselling would make it stop.

I can't put my finger on it but i had counselling twice and i am vvvvv slowly learning to move on. I read on MSE a fantastic discussion on why people have issues in later life - eating, confidence, nightmares, lack of eating etc it is all linked to our childhoods and if you identify the root cause or trigger you can try to do something about it. We all have a choice -(ever read Steinbeck's East of Eden? love it sorry had to pop that in). I kind of know with me why i am an oddbod and am participating with people, it is only from Nohope's recent conversations that i realise how isolated i was and at least now i can do something about it. You must allow yourself to live and grow as a person. You are here for a reason and counselling is a potential way to do that. The Good Lord put us here and we must not waste it.

One day if you have time do look at Firewalker's thread. (She is trying to live to the max in a comfortable way and is an inspiration to me and Start Again is too. If you ever meet Susan she is too. Very strong people it really is an honour to be here).

Gosh i do ramble on. Hey can you carboot your calendars or are you passing them to a distributor? Are they pretty i am happy to buy one?

Steve and andy live by the Beaulieu estate and they have donkeys that roam freely in the New Forest. We might walk along the beach. hooray. Must wrap up v warm.

Oh my gosh my students are stoners (well some of them are) i keep telling them drugs are bad and about the Mafi@ (do you realise we cant spell the name of the organised crime system on here ?- wow) but it hasn't quite sunk in.

I hope everyone has had a good sleep i can't believe susan is up so early. My tv stand arrived in a flat pack. I am leaving it in the hallway it looks daunting. Am popping back into bed for a snooze. Nieces coming later and must sort out a sack of poop in bedroom. Everyone have a fab day.

Aesop - you sponsor a donkey, that rocks. Does anyone remember Hazel O'Connor the singer (fab film breaking glass) she kept a donkey sanctuary in ireland or somewhere didn't she.

Susan am going to be quiet so i can finally ring you tonight. Kept coughing chatting to Steve! Marru please rest. Everyone have a fab morning. Back later. Now the telly.......
