Greatest moneysaving bargain apart from ebay was my half price slow cooker which has saved me so so much electricity this year and the joints, stews, soups and gammon which come out of it are just wonderfully cooked. All due to this site.:T
Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j

Its got to be my second small chest freezer - saving on tripping to the shops everyweek, and filling with all the bargains I pick up!
This site is a godsend. I am sure so many people are coping better knowing there are others in the same boat!

People keep telling me I say Frugal too often!

This site has renewed me. I have always lived on a budget, but now I feel like I have a sense and a purpose!

    I have a place... and it's Frugal :D

a very simple one. but proberly actually rememebering to keep empty margarine tub's. i always say i will, but i always forget. this yr tho i've been very good at keeping them. and they have been excellent for the freezer for when i do have left over's, which isn't often but when i do it's been great.
  • Apart from all of the really valuable hints and tips on this part of the forum my REALLY money-saving bargain of the year was the lovely M&S black raincoat I found in a charity shop last week for a fiver. Together with the Boots receipt in one of the pockets was a folded up tenner. Result!

it's difficult to narrow it down but i'd say my sewing machine, bought for just over £50 on special offer from argos, now selling for £180. I've done a few things with it that have saved me money, like lining the curtains. it keeps me out of trouble too.

I do this... saves me a fortune! And they stack so nice!

Special bonus though... when you give someone something... you don't have to worry about them keeping your tupperware!

shame you can't do this with jam, I don't know how many jars we've lost this year (even with me asking them to give back the jars, and having a little sticker at the bottom saying "please return me"). It might sound stingy but those people are NOT getting jams next year.

Yes, that's not good is it. It's only polite.

I buy my jars for £30 for 54 off eBay every year, cheapest I could find.

I never get jars back either.

I do get free jars off freecycles. And all my own use 'jared' items are in peanut butter jars and whatever else I can find!
