Thanks everyone, yes congratulations are in order I am to be a granny! Though its early days yet so not counting our chickens so to speak, I am going to make the most of it all, Id love another baby myself but at nearly 43 with 4 teenage children still at home and 2 stepchildren both left home and a disabled OH I am a bit past having one myself! So this little one will be very special, I think we need a thread for Grannys somewhere here so we can share our worries, trials and tribulations!
Congratulations Jane, lovely news! I am a step granny to 4. I wasnt blessed with my own kids but when I met OH I "inherited" his GC. They are three boys aged 13, 11 and 4 and a wee girl aged 5. They call me GranJan, and they think it's cool cos they have three grannies - DIL's Mum, OH'S ex and ME!butdoineedit? wrote: »Well today has been a tester, a DIY weekend has always involved not stopping to eat & instead smoking loads of cigs, so it has been a real struggle not to just pop out for 10 but i managed it :j
:mad::mad: to the fact that i totally forgot that the belt in the hoover broke last week & so cleaning up when i finished was a nightmare & there are still slivers of tile everywhere!!! Still didn't dare go out for the belt as i knew i'd pass a cig shop & actually quite glad i left it for tomorrow as it's due to be a spendy day anyway.
So that's number 10 today please, no spending, no cigs & (after de-tiling the toilet) no skin left on my hands :rotfl:
(think you may have to add plasters to the builders brew & biscuits if i'm coming your way spoon!!)
BDINI - I think a massive pat on the back is order for you. Well done for not giving in - that's another hurdle you've overcome. Breaking the habit of having a cig when you are used to having one is hardest bit:T:T:T:T:Tsolventsoon wrote: »Well I’ve been a good spoony today and managed to get my tax return completed, so today was a spendy day for me. Thanks Spoony for all you do and congrats for sorting out the tax return. Yukky job if ever there was one.
I'm going for No 11 today but not counting my chickens as I've got to post my ebay stuff today. Will check in later. Have a good day all0 -
Good morning all!
As you can see from my previous post, I've been up since silly o'clock. Had a rubbish night's sleep, tossed and turned all night:(
Bagged NSD # 10 yesterday, back on track after Saturday's spends!;)
I'm about to get ready for work, cant believe it's Monday already. I have a half day today, as I have noone to look after dog today. My dogwalker ( Mum) is going out for the day with her church group, if you please:rotfl: ( how very dare she!)
Have a great day everyone!:)

Once again, I've been a little late to the party. I'm following how great you are all doing and I think you can safely count me in for February. I've no idea how many days to start with though. Can we pretend that aeroplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars, cause I could really use a wish right now...0

Hello all
I am trying desperately to stay away from the Grabit Quick threads! If I manage then it will be NSD 12 today but knowing how scatterbrained I am today I will update at home if I manage it!
Good luck to anyone on a NSD!Well lets see - I dip in and out of MSE all the time but I still come back - have done since 2007!!!

Hi Spoony-can my total NSD's that I am going for this month change to 15, on NSD 11 as didn't spend on Saturday and not spending today! Was outbid on ebay so have not spent today-strangely not that bothered as it was a moment of madness that I bid on it anyway and have spent the last couple of days wishing I hadn't! This moneysaving is getting addictive! :-D"Sealed Pot challenge" member No 1099 2011/£26.00:j

Today may end up being very expensive
I was parking in the pouring rain near my sons' school, the windows were quite steamed up, and to cut a long story short I managed to clip the front wheel arch of a van  I've been driving for 20 years and have never managed to damage my car or anyone else's, so I am really annoyed with myself.
It was difficult to see the damage as the vehicle was so wet, but there is minimal paint damage to mine and his- probably both will mostly polish out, but it is up to him really to decide. I was expecting him to have phoned when I got home but he hasn't yet.
After that I went shopping to try to replace a pair of earrings that DH bought me for Christmas- I managed to lose one. I really don't want to have to own up as I only had them for a week. Anyway, the jewellers was being refurbished . I am wondering how long it will be before either DH or DD comments on the fact that I'm not wearing my lovely earrings
.
Anyway, nothing I can do about either situations, but suffice to say I am feeling very down in the dumps, even after a diet coke and belgian bun!!
Hopefully a NSD tomorrow!Save £12k in 2021: Jan £1834.40, Feb £1692.810
