Cheryl - out buying coffee especially eh? Just like a Gold Blend advert ;)
A new jar of Mr M's rich roast was cheaper than the unopened jars of gold type I have in (even though those were bought on special offer!)....

and as I don't drink coffee very often I'd rather open 'mine' when I'm in the mood for a coffee blitz, than end up having to drink it 'cos it's been open too long ;)

and if he's over enough to get through a full jar, then at least it's not my special stuff he's hammering through blush.gif

  • You can buy mothers on the web :eek::eek:

Rofl Thanks moneypenny, that really tickled me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I was so busy trying to figure out if DM meant mother that I forgot to finish my sentence :o I meant buy my mum's birthday pressie :p

Thought I'd had a NSD to declare today, then remembered paying library fines (2.50). Normally I'm on top of these things, but if someone reserves a book you have out you can't renew it online.

Hey ho, 2.50 isn't bad for a spendy day. Plus I got some books on soup out of the library, which have got to help with the food spending :)
Official DFW nerd 187 :T Highest debt Oct 06 £23,319 _pale_ Cleared end 09. :T

[...] and some fresh s/skim milk (not even looking at the date on the skimmed one I'm currently using!).

I am buying Cravendale now. I used to have that problem, when the milk went out of date too soon and ended throwing a quarter of it. Now I buy that one that usually lasts 3 weeks unopened and a full week+ open, so I never throw any away. I also keep one or two long life milk in the cupboard for emergencies, so I do not have to go to the shops in a rush... and fall to temptation! :D

All this talk of Doritos reminded me we still had a pack. So DH & DS1 ditched the pizza idea in favour of nachos for tea...until we discovered a mouse (saw it last night shooting across the floor!) had made a nest in the packet!!! Oh well....such is life :o

OMG, that made me open my mouth and laugh a bit after. Lol

Jinty - where did you get your eyebrows theaded if you don't mind me asking? I get mine done regually at a stand in our shopping centre called Silky Brows (there seem to be a few springing up locally) and it's £5 a go

In my city there is a place called Brazilian Waxing (which they also do) where you can have them done for the same price if you go to the academy, which is by the University. They have quite good prices. I know they have several branches, I cannot recall where or if all of them are in the NW.

Can you tell we are having a use-things-up weekend!! :rotfl:

Aren't you slightly cheating by using the local wildlife to help you eat your over stocked food???? :T:cool:
    (Hope the nachos were nice!)

PS: my doritos never last long enough in a cupboard for a mouse to even smell them out, yet alone make a nest in them!
  • Today was not a NSD. I gave into temptation and had a Starbucks. I also spent quite a lot of money on some greetings cards. I won't go into amounts because it sounds ridiculous but thankfully it's not a frequent thing!
    Thank you competition posters!
  • Hey, you're allowed decluttering.

    Just this once...

If only our milk ever lasted that long...we can go through a 4 pinter in a few days...between two of us

Good idea about keeping long life milk in the cupboard... I have actually resorted to cat milk when we ran out before :o

I'm trying to buy standard 4pt, decant into 4x1pt containers, and freeze 3.

But this time I bought a 4pt, and didn't have room in the freezers :o
it's actually dated 3rd, but still fine and not splitting as I add it to my cuppas

I've got long-life soya in which I'll use with cereal but not tea, and can just about cope with 'standard' UHT in my cups of tea but not cereal - so it's not worth me keeping UHT in the house (I do have some dried though, and can just about manage a couple of brews using a sprinkle of that before I dive down to the shop as soon as it opens/I wake up)
