    Oooh, another NSD today...so 9/17 now :j.

Should pick up another tomorrow, double figures here I come!!

All this talk of Doritos reminded me we still had a pack. So DH & DS1 ditched the pizza idea in favour of nachos for tea...until we discovered a mouse (saw it last night shooting across the floor!) had made a nest in the packet!!! Oh well....such is life :o

Instead we are having tortilla pizzas with the tomato sauce and cheese. Afters is bread and butter pudding, made with out-of-date croissants and no butter!! Oops...the mozzarella is also o-o-d...and going yellow:eek:....so just cheddar for the pizza then :D.

Can you tell we are having a use-things-up weekend!! :rotfl:

The birds had had some of the gluten-free xmas cake I made for DS1's GF...it was absolutely disgusting...so whizzed it in the food processor to make it into crumbs, mixed it with a bit of water and out some on the bird table...it went pretty fast!! They'll get more tomorrow, there's enough for a week of Xmas treats!!

Tomorrow will be rabbit for DH & me, chicken for DS2
(he won't touch the rabbit:))...the freezer is slowly emptying :D.

Now I must get some course work done before tea is ready.

    See you all tomorrow.

Yep I can confirm today was indeed a nsd 9/10 so given that tomorrow is Sunday and I'm cooking for the family as it's my little boy's birthday. I should meet my target tomorrow.

Well done everyone for resisting temptation.:j:j:j

She did disappear for a while - but the green light was still there after 20 mins. I went looking for a 'kick up the backside' smiley (with no success), and it was red when I came back to post a message - so I didn't bother......

Glad you're all here to keep an eye on me - DH is rubbish at making me study, and I will easily find an excuse to get out of it!! Nice to see you back Cheryl, i gather there may be a little  in the air?! :) xx

Good grief! I am away from the forums for 3 days and end up having gadzillions of posts to wade through......

LFV - belated condoloences re doggie, so sad but at least that dog had a life full of love and care that others would envy.

Hazel - fingers crossed for the job possibilities.

Jinty - Mystery shopping? So it was you I saw outside Tescos in the dark glasses and flasher mac?

CW - not spring yet and the sap is rising already, I see?

Well, I am now on 6 glorious NSDs!
Did some shopping today in Home Bargains and Aldis, but expect tomorrow to be another NSD.

Well, Burns Night is a definite (Igor still searching the net for instructions on how to catch and slaughter haggises), anything that involves hairy-arrised blokes in skirts is fine by me.

Chinese New Year - the Year of the Spit-Roasted Bunny. Rabbit pie. Bunny kebabs. Funny bunny curry. The possibilities are endless.

Now who mentioned the Royal wedding? You do realise the harm you have done? Poor old Igor was here when it was mentioned, and he has got himself in a right state, hanging around the phone, waiting for the Palace to call and summon him for a bridesmaids dress fitting. I haven't the heart to break the news to him that he is not going to be a part of it....I suppose I will have to let him come along and do the sandwiches for the picnic on the day.....just hope everyone has plenty to eat before we set off!

Right, enough of the Narglenonsense, must quickly visit the other threads then dive into the shower ready for an evening's chill out in front of the TV.

  • Hello :)

Another NSD for me please, which is number9 :D I think I might be spending tomorrow as I'm on a whoopsie mission :o:rotfl:, but there is nothing I really need (other than crisps for lunchboxes and bread) so anything I get will have to be really good value or it's not going in my basket!

..your light is still green.... I hope you have been studying :)

Whew! what a busy afternoon on here.

Cheryl - out buying coffee especially eh? Just like a Gold Blend advert ;)

Jinty - where did you get your eyebrows theaded if you don't mind me asking? I get mine done regually at a stand in our shopping centre called Silky Brows (there seem to be a few springing up locally) and it's £5 a go (more if you want your tpo lip done too ) they also do eyebrow tiniting, though I've never bothered. I was initally a bit :o about sitting in a three sided pen with eyeryone walking by but frankly, no one bats an eyelid and since you're facing away with your eyes closed, it doesn't matter anyway :rotfl: Don't know if they have any such stands up your neck of the woods though?

Finally dragged myself out of my pjs and went out to get a few bits OH had given me £ for (including Doritos - sorry Catslovelycats, you've been doing well at resisting today). The only extra things I bought were some plant pots from Mr Wilko, but they need to go back as they're too big, and some kitchen roll and i'm hoping there are pennies in the change pot to cover that so it could still be a NSD.

Janeawej - you've just reminded me I can open a bottle of wine from our substantial Xmas stash :j OH is home earlier than I expected from the fitba so I don't have to worry about going to pick him up later :j

Keiss - you're house soulds hilarious this evening - and you've prob just tipped Catslovelycats over the edge at the thought of the mouse in Doritos :rotfl:
