You must meet one of 3 conditions to get it abroad which may be relevant to the OP. Do they qualify?
That's about exporting benefits that you already claim, not about applying when living abroad.0 -
My mistake, but the link that I gave is pertinent to the OP though. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Have a look at this thread from another forum. I think you will find most if not all of the info you seek. This is another guy who is taking the same actions. This particular type of problem is of great interest to me as it would enable UK residents who have contributed in their working lives, yet are penalised because they don't happen to live in the UK anymore.

I didn't comment on the weather in Spain I am well aware they get cold winters the point I am making is --if you want to go live in another country, then leave your UK related benefits at home. If you want to live in Spain your no longer contributing to this country so buy your own coal. Try claiming for benefits in European countries you will soon find their not the gravy train they are here. Of course if houses in France are so cheap why has have the Uk not packed up all their benefits and headed there.0

Isn't THAT a fact. But we can dream...0
