translation to English often makes nonsense of the post ;)

Thanks! So that explains why I've being getting loads of financial 'offers/deals/requests to log in and change my details'. Was beginning to think it was because of Avon Connects. Glad you put me right before I complained to Avon.

I've been doing Avon for two years, but a few of my ladies are i'n the habit of ordering loads (£50 plus) orders then two weeks later return them all to be i think because their skint (aren't we all !!!)

Well i placed a good order on Friday, went to pick up books for next campaign and got £65 worth of goods back, obviously i have had to give them the money back !!! Which leaves me short to pay last campaigns bill, as i have already sent it

I'm not avons favourite rep as i do return a fair bit plus for some reason i have had a terrible time of shorted orders , which seems to be sorted now got the feeling they thought i was scamming them, which i wasent obviously.

Any ideas what i can do my next del is Thursday so don't want to mess that up but just don't have the full amount to pay for last time

    Regards

Just apply the credits to your account. Then pay them what you do have. Remember that you only get credited the rep price, not the customer price when you do the maths though! Gets confusing otherwise. Once you pay, it will catch up with itself and balance it all out.
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

See MM has filled you in about only paying the nett amount due to Avon. :T

As for your customers, hmm.... not an easy one. You can obviously do without the hassle - whenever this has happened to me in the past I've 'fined' them by not dropping them a book for a campaign or two. Sometimes it encourages them to accept/pay for the items they order i.e. when you do start dropping them a book again; sometimes you lose a customer but such a customer is not a great loss anyway.

Had a good week this campaign has turned around full swing.

It was looking bleak but I have managed to pick up 7 new customers this time around, have lost a couple but my order is just short of £300 my highest to date.

Ive done a bit of advertising on Facebook and it appears to have reaped rewards with approxmately £100 worth of sales coming from Facebook enquiries.

Well done! How did you go about your facebook advertising? Did you set it up as a person/group?

There seemed to be alot of local groups for buying and selling and I just posted in those groups with links to the brochure and asking if they wanted one delivering to thier door to contact me.

I received 5 friend requests as a result and 4 ordered and one left me a note saying she will next time.

Hiya, has anyone got any experience of selling Avon on market stalls or car boots?

What would be best to take? Skin so soft? Shower gels/shampoos?

I'm a bit lost as to how much to order and of what!

Any help would be really appreciated!! :D Or a point in the right direction if this has already been discussed?

As a customer, I would say, only take with you goods that are in absolutely pristine condition and that you are willing to sell below the lowest brochure price.

The problem you may find is that second-hand sellers, which predominate at a car boot sale, never really make a 'profit' - they generally just make pocket money by selling stuff that is otherwise unwanted. Buyers go to boot sales looking for a bargain and there will be many stalls with folk selling off unwanted smellies in lovely gift packaging for a really low price.

In that context, it will be hard to make a real profit on anything that you want to sell at the going rate, though it might be a good place to get rid of freebies and built-up stash.

I go to car boots frequently and we have a regular Avon stall at ours, so I am guessing they must make some sort of profit beyond their stall fee, or they wouldn't bother. But, as a regular Avon customer, I was embarassed when they told me that their £3 nail varnishes (in scraggy boxes) were 'a real bargain', as nail varnishes are £3 at half price in nearly every catalogue lately, and I can get even bigger discounts if I am placing a larger order online, or, in my usual case, can get them brought to my door in pristine condition by buying from my rep.

Thanks for your help, maybe selling Avon might be better suited to a market stall where, even though people will drive a hard bargain, items are more expected to be new.

    Morning all,

Avoncalling, I too have been thinking about holding a table / stall.
Where i am, I have noticed that the haircare range & SSS bargins is what makes the money!

I have been thinking, Rather then holding a stall - I might start advertising parties.

To hold a stall here, I have been quoted far too money, That i feel i will not get back in sales!

I have been trying to find out the best way to advertise parties?

PS:- If anyone in the Bristol area needs C12, I have a box full going!
Some are brand new! Just PM!

    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy
