I know a lot of you do really well with Avon - my main question is does it take up a lot of time for the money you get back (I know initially it will but once you get into the swing of things does it take ages?) I know it depends on how many customers you have - say if I had 20 customers.
Do you run 2 campaigns at once ... I am slightly worried about overloading people - it is tough times so I don't want to be too pushy
My last questionI am thinking of getting some stickers with my name, avon rep, tel number etc for the order forms and books (possibly a t-shirt) does anyone think this is worth the money (possibly another £15 to the start up cost). To show people I am serious about it. We currently don't have one is our street (not that I am aware of and we have been here 4 years!)
TIA

Ok, so DO join us and Avon. Its good fun and hard work. Its not easy, but the rewards are great.
I got lucky and had fantastic territory. My results signature are for last year, Ive been off the forum for a long time, so nothings up to date, but C8 came in at over £700+ sales.
You can work long hours or work clever.
I have a template for my order forms and print them out, saving ages on writing things out by hand.
I always put out a delivery advice note prior to delivery, my customers know when Im coming. You can download them from the avon website.
I get my next lot of books out as soon as ordering has closed and take the order Advice slips out at the same time. This way, my customers only NEED to see me once every three weeks.
I do stragler books once a week.
Realistically, look at your family and your comittments. Slot your Avon around this. You can take little ones with you (I do and the dog now too) so I get things done quicker and lots at once too.
I dont run 2 books at once because of my territory, it just wouldnt work for me, but some of the reps in my team do and it goes just fine for them.
As for the stickers, well, I print, but do look at Vistaprint for bits and bobs, I did get a t shirt from them too. And business cards and biros.
Looks great to get you started. Just commit to you customers and dont let them down. It goes a lot further than you think.
Good luck and have some fun. ALWAYS let someone know where you are.:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -
We are awaiting a new street.
The numbers have a gap on the street they jump from something like 21 and 22 to 112 and 113 there has been a new main road built through the street so presumably someone thought we were getting a big streetJoined Avon : 13/04/2011 C8 £168.98 C9 £270.99 C10 £237.65 C11 £227.27 C12 £299.97 C13 £298.50 C14 £308.14 C15 £347 C16 349.09 so Far0 -

Thank you for your reply. My ASM didn't turn up for our arranged meeting but I contacted another SL who came out to see me today - I am away on holiday soon so I am starting with C10 (I think I am going to ask for C9 too) as I have been given 110 houses so I am going to run half of my houses on C9 and half on C10 until I find my feet ... I am going to do some questionnaire leaflets to see if people are / aren't interested in receiving and ask for more streets if things aren't as good ... I will be giving it until at least Christmas to see how things go.
I have done a couple of templates - I love designing and the idea of running my own little businessI have done a template to introduce myself and I have done one to highlight special offers. Do you mean that you don't hand out the original Avon order forms and create your own?
TIA

I would hold off the do you/dont you want a brochure questionaire just yet, it gives them a chance to say no before theyve seen a book. if your area hasnt had a rep for ages, just give out the books, you will soon work out who does and doesnt want a book.
Dont be afraid to ask your SL for C9's and C10's. Often she or the ASM will have some left over. Ask for some brochure bags (offer to pay for them 50bags for 80p) as it really does make all the difference and push your luck for some calling cards, (makes a newbies life sooooo much easier)
Stick at it, we are all here to help
Im off to wash out the new Avon Hair dye colour 5.0 out of my soon to be hopefully fab tresses!!!
Dead easy to apply, gloves are fab by the way (im guessing its a loreal kit with Avon rebranding)
Will let you know if goes horribly wrong!:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -
Hi all
Does anyone have a link to C9 sale booklet please?
Can't see one at the beginning of the thread yet.
TIA
I'm looking forward to receiving the Avon hair colour in my next delivery and wondered who has tried it already, and what they thought of it....................RIP Marmaduke 04.02.11, MIsty 09.06.12 and Rufus 19.7.24 very, very sadly missed xxx

Ok, No I dont print out my own order forms, I use the template to print onto the order forms. Fills in my Camp No. Name, address, message (which is usually best of the brochure) delivery date and collect the brochure date.

Ah thanks for that - I was going to pop a leaflet in the with brochure ... I could just not bother ... and do it as a recoverage thingy closer to christmas
Thanks for all your advice ... I think because I am lazy little labels (will get some from work free - will print there too :rotfl: to save on ink) will be best for me ...
Will have to give it a try - love pampering myself - just browsed through C10 and my order alone is £27.50 :rotfl: Will come in useful for SD Christmas box ...
Just patiently waiting now for an account number (I have bad credit so fingers crossed!) before I start harassing my family and friends ... well mentioning it at every given opportunity
Bags already sorted - Wilkos have them £1.55 for 100 ...
Thanks
