Everything you buy counts towards you hitting MOV and HOV. For things from the brochure it's the full brochure price that counts, not the "your cost" price.

Re. awkward deliveries - I'm pretty specific about when I'm coming around. A few days before delivery I drop a note or e-mail saying the date and time slot (6pm - 8pm) when I'll be calling. I used to say just "evening" but a specific time means people can say, right, I know I will/won't be in then.

If people still mess you about when you're making things clear just put the ball in their court and ask them to contact you to arrange a time. I'll do 2 attempts before asking them to do this.

It's worth trying again when you're on the same street even if they're not expecting you, solely for the reason that you've saved yourself another trip out if they're in. (Oh and the customer's happy to have their stuff, they always come first ).

Hi everyone, Well I just signed up for Avon this evening and am going to deliver my books later. Just want to check, the SL only give me 10 books, I did ask was this enough, she said 10 would do to start. I thought you got 20 books for your first go.

Please advise anyone.

Pretty sure it should be 20 for your 1st campaign and then 20 for your 2nd although I'm not a sales leader.

Ta, I text her. Waiting on a reply. Want to give it a good go, but 10 books is a bit measly!

Thanks I, Geek I am very much organised. I'm trying to clear some debt so I want to try and maximise my profits - The fiddling with the orders to get the cheapest price appeals to me as I feel like I am playing a game to get the best option

Still have a few orders to come in but we are currently at £63 before any Extras so hopeful of making MOV in our 1st Campaign.

We knocked on every door on the street we were allocated which was 35 houses and out of those 3 took brochures and 2 were already reps which was confirmed by others on the street the 3 we got were new to the street!

We have asked for new terrority as the reps servcing this street have it pretty sown up.

Yes it should be 20 books for your 1st campaign, and 20 for your 2nd. Anything extra to that is supplied at their cost (I provide my reps with extra), but you should get 20 books as that's what we get refunded for. Plus how do they think you'll get a decent amount of orders with only 10 books???!

Hi Lozza, thats what I thought! Maybe chancing their arms to keep the 10 books for someone else! I had a trainee SL and her Manager I think. They brought more books round later, so will get them out tonight. I thought it was 20. She said on the phone they only have to give 10 minimum for first time. I know this is not right, but didn't want to argue. As long as I have my 20 for now, will see how it goes over the next couple of weeks.

Yes indeed. It is 20 books for your 1st and 2nd Camps. Never should Sales Leaders be giving out 10's!!!

Personally, if you are a F&F only canditate then 10's for your first 4 camps would be ok, but if they give you streets, then I give my lot 40 upfront. Just a lot easier to get the orders coming in.

Keep up the work, it does come good in the end. There are order form templates available so that you can print out your order forms instead of spending your life hand writing them out. You can PM if you like. Do use the delivery slips prior to delivering the order. I always use them, get over 90% of my orders out 1st time this way.

I also learnt the hard way to get your new books out prior to delivering the order, so you get your books back when you deliver the order. Saves a lot of street walking.

Oh, and yes, im still alive and breathing.

Great work done so far! Well done you. But why only 1 street with only 35 houses? On a quiet street at that? Were you signed by a Sales leader or ASM? Get on to your ASM pronto!!!
