Thanks I Geek and Nicki, that helps a lot. I don't think I will work as much as 16 hours a week but will have to time myself. I have maybe 8 streets but they are all quite small apart from one. I estimated about £15 to £20 per week as well but since this is only my second campaign will have to see how this works out.
Thank you both for the replies!BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -
I NEED some fitflops, I didn't order them as I have massive size 8s and remember someone on here saying they came up small...
I have size 8 feet and have the size 7/8 toning fit flops, they still have about half an inch left at the toe end so are plenty big enough without looking like boats :rotfl:0 -
Is it wrong that my 10 year old DD is currently sorting out my delivery into the orders while I'm on the computer supposedly studying?
:rotfl::rotfl: When she's old enough she can take up the Avon herself
Lol my 11yr old DD did mine for me whilst I was recuperating, she did a sterling job. My ASM said for her to ask her mates what they would like to see in a future avon book for their age group0 -
just completed my first order. order came to £100. not brilliant but at least its over mov. hopefully better next month0

You might be surprised how the hours add up. I've kept track of mine so far this campaign and it's eye-opening to have it in black-and-white. I don't know why it takes me so long to prep books but it does! I set up a production line and count everything out first but it can still take 2 and a half hours to do a big lot of books (around 80 is the most I've prepped in one go). The way I prep does involve some things that save me time when dropping books, though - like writing the address on every order form and stacking them in the order I deliver them. I've decided to do some more extreme things to save time - not returning for the stragglers and asking them to contact me, and one big prep, drop and collection of books.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.
I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I think thats how i'm going tackle my area once I've finished canvasing. One big prep, delivery, collection (leaving notes for those not in) and put my order in. If people want something I would think they would contact me if they weren't in when I called.Sealed pot challenge 18750 -

Hi, I am curious about your writing the address on every order form.... can I ask why? Just wonder if there is a better system.
All I do is to write my name and number, brochure number and delivery date. Then I use a highlighter to highlight the "please leave outside" part. And also any message about a special offer.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -
its always worth checking when it comes to tax credits.... as if you "do" over 16 hours work a week you MAY be entitled to working tax credit to top up your low earnings ...... (i get more WTC than wages most weeks!!!!) remember 16 hours a week self employed includes all the time you do ANYTHING work related including "researching" and "marketing" so your working even when your spending time on connects or designing your newsletters etc..... you can also include the ime it actually takes you to get to your clients.....etc etc it soon adds up
...... Of course YOUR the one recording your time too there is no clocking in and out machine or a boss looking over you so its up to YOU to make sure you do them...and its 16 hours in the average week... nature of our job means some weeks we do more than others.
i do avon as my main job.... and i do 16+ hours a week and claim WTC because of this..... a basis outline of my working week is roughly
Week 1
Design my newsletter for this campaign - and/or any promotions im running & recanvassing slips - 1 hour
print and cut these slips out - 30 mins
reprep 70-100 recanvassing books with a form, book and bag + any slips ^^^ - 3-4 hours
organise my "round" - 30 mins
Deliver approx 100 recanvassing books - 2-3 hours
collect books couple of days later - 3 hours
collect stragglers the next day including knocking + "liasing" with clients - 2 hours
input orders into system including clever ordering checking 2-3 hours
total 17 hours
week 2
organise any returns and print + package - 1 hour
print delivery slips out and deliver them to all customers im calling on "tomorrow" across 3 days - 3 hours
take delivery - sort through it all and package it up - 6 hours
deliver to customers across 3 nights - 3-4 hours - 9-12 hours
total 22 hours
week 3
prep 100 new campaign books with slips/forms/bags etc - 3-4 hours
Deliver 100 books - 2-3 hours
collect books couple of days later - 3 hours
collect stragglers the next day including knocking + "liasing" with clients - 2 hours
input orders into system including clever ordering checking 2-3 hours
finalise order and check that everything is in place to send order - all stock is checked etc etc - 2 hours
hours 17
so you can see how it all adds up!!!! also makes my earnings about £2 an hour at the min too.lol

I've messed up so many times this camp think I'm losing the plot
Delivered an order today cos I had to wait for some items to be delivered and I managed to get the total wrong, and I mean really wrong looked like a total muppet. one order I completely forgot to mention that an item was out of stock and phoned the lady today, she wasn't going to mention it bless her. And a friend just messaged me to say I had forgotten an item! She had sent me her order via FB and I wrote it out and I forgot to write one down. Oh and I sent some book 8s out by mistake! though managed to rectify that!
Feel so stupid, think I better stop before I make any more mistakes.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -

I write an abbreviated form on each order form at the top so I can see it sticking out of the bag. I would use 3 L/R for 3 London Road and so forth. Means that if customer gets a bit lax with writing name and address, you dont need to decipher handwriting. I find this is an absolute MUST for canvassing.
I also write brochure number, tick collection day, circle the leave outside and write in delivery date. Have a stamp with my name and telephone number. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
