I'm doing a free gift for orders of £12.50 and more in C6 (to tie-in with the 125 years....OHs suggestion!). When I've done spend x amount and get a free gift, not many people went for it, even when it was only £10, had a customer who reguarly spends over £10, spend £9.70!!!! But - I think its a good thing to do, having different offers, as it helps to set you apart from other reps, your customers will notice that you do offers even if they don't take you up on them. Then if they chat with their friends, and their friend is like "o my avon rep is rubbish", they'll say "mine is lovely, she gives us free gifts and things". Personal service goes a long way in keeping your customers loyal to you :)

Ok so my total sales were £225.30, my cost was £174.85 and I earnt £50.46.

The sales included £18.50- 7.50 admin charge and £11 for books and bags.

I paid £181.22 to Avon which was what my bill came to in the end. not sure why it was this in the end.

Anyway I then returned two items worth £23, well I have returned them online but not physically.

Also I had to make an additional order and my two products that were late from the main order came with that that totalled £24.87.

My balance is £18.50 so I still have stuff to pay and not a lot left! I've calculated that I should have "earnt" £31.96 after the admin charges are taken off.

So if you managed to read all of that what have I done wrong here? I have charged people what their bills said but I have still messed up:(

I have been surprised when my customers have read my news letters too! i did a "do you wish to receive your brochure tick box thing, only 1 bothered lol, and i also attached one of my new business cards to the letter, only 1 bothered to remove it lol
I found that some of my customers didn't even read my little newletters but being a good girl, I ordered them their freebies if they qualified.

Still got this horrible dry cough (mainly nights) and looking rough at the moment. Need a break but fully booked with all my different jobs till end next week. Then my delivery comes on the monday so here we go again - roll on April :rotfl:

MRSGSR, with your calculation of returned items being £23 is that at brochure price, or cost to you! as you take it from the cost to you price.

hmm, the 2 products that were missed off your original regular order, did they send 2 seperate invoices in the box? and have you been given your commission on those 2 items? Because they shouldnt treat those as part of your additional order.

I may be way off here.... BUT... If you made returns, has this taken you below HOV? Which would switch you to 20% commission?? Not sure if they do this....
Also, if you did an additional order you will have been charged £2.50 postage and you won't have earned commission unless they added up to MOV. In effect you will have lost on those products iykwim.
Somebody assist me here! I'm too tired to think straight :(
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

Yes, missminx - additional orders would have been nett + £2.50 postage although the outstanding from the main order would be subject to discount.

Returns shouldn't affect discount rate at all.

If you returned items then you need to deduct these from your tally of invoice to you and to customer.

Best way to do it (and long) is sit down with customer orders and tick off each item from the invoice checking prices charged to you and prices on your orders. What remains unticked will explain where the balance has gone. Its just a case of going through it all thoroughly and identifying where the discrepancies are. Avon rarely make price mistakes - but reps and customers often do!
