  • Thanks Aesop. Will make things a bit easier round here.

Well been and collected my books in. Worked out I had delivered 102 books. Out of them 27 do not want to see anymore books, and 21 hadnt left the book out and werent in when I knocked. Also about 75% had left the books on the doorstep so had to knock for most of them Grrrr. And to top it all I only got 2 orders totalling £20 :(

While it's not much comfort this time, you could get more customers overthe next few campaigns as that street might have been messed about by previous rep.

Had a rep deliver to one end of my territory, gave ask details as one of my customers kindly text me their details. Turns out it's a sl helping their rep but they'd completely confused as to what street and thought it sounded like the right one. Felt like telling the asm to suggest to the sl that she learns to read as other than the two roads beginning with S they aren't similar at all, mine has a long name ending in road, and where she should have gone is much shorter and is a close!! On the plus side this sl is going to pass any orders to asm to go to me, though I doubt she will have picked up any customers as that part of my territory had always been a bit useless for orders lol.

    Congrats on the job minigirl!:T

I had 6 orders to deliver tonight, I put cards through saying when I'd call & how much. Then I was running late as my stupid printer threw a wobbler  Now I've had to bring 2 home as there wasn't an answer :( I've put cards through asking them to contact me to arrange delivery. I'm not going to keep knocking on the off chance they're in. I wouldn't mind but they haven't put any other contact details on their forms

Sooo I decided to get on with preparing books as my livingroom look a disgrace with avon stuff all over it and now I've discovered I haven't got enough of any one set of books to canvass more than one street per book at a time again :( I had been hoping to do 3 streets tomorrow, then more next week when I've collected them in. No such luck, 2 roads tomorrow, then 2 next week once I've collected back enough to cover the next road and if I'm really lucky I might get a fourth road done :( At least C7 I've order myself 50 books so should be fine to do two roads with that. Might order 100 C8 next time though - nearly all my roads are terraced so you are looking at about 80 books if I do every house and at the moment while I'm canvassing I'd rather over order book than mess around like I'm having to do!

Anyways, I best get the flyers done for the books I'm putting out tomorrow. The ones to go out with orders are already done and dusted, its all the in between houses where I need to put books to be printed, cut & bagged

I have just finished my books...and now I see why Johanne is often on here in the early hours of the morning  So thats my orders sorted, my books organised which means I can sort that out tomorrow & hopefully pay the money into my bank account on Saturday when I take DD to town to return jeans to Primark

Then Monday morning I'm collecting the books back in. I found if I asked people to leave them on the step for 8.30am (inspired by a charity bag that came through the door ;)) then I can get the books collected on the way home from the school run on the days I'm off ;) I might even be organised enough to be able to put them back out again Monday afternoon...will have to see how I get on tomorrow night or whether I just flake on the sofa :rotfl:

  • Thanks for all the congrats on my job. xx

Have totalled up my orders so far and Im just under £200 which isn't bad at all as I've still got the orders from my cousin's work to come in. Makes me feel a bit better about not getting many orders from my new road I canvessed. As it was said they may just be waiting to see if I keep coming back or not lol.

Aaarg, just posted an appointment form which I forgot to post yesterday. I am so angry with myself. She was so keen that I signed her on wednesday night for c5 even though we deadline on Monday, so arranged to go and meet her on Monday to teach her how to submit........ her account won't be set up by then...... I was cutting it fine anyway but now it is virtually impossible. She is so keen as well bless her, I have already had her on the phone updating me with everything....... Keeping my fingers crossed my SL will have a solution when I see her later.....

Johanne fingers crossed that nothing has fallen out. Our post is really bad, several time I have had birthday card envelopes slit open :(

with the new forms, you don't get to keep a copy anymore do you?

If you have a copy, you can fax it to Avon, or even scan and e-mail explaining it has to be in by monday, hence the rush.

You could call the SL line and ask for their advice.
