Just logged into my Halifax account only to be offered a cc from them is says guaranteed if I apply before 14/03/11 its also offering 0% for 9 months. As I have been closing accounts as they cleared I am currently using 96% of my available credit however I have had no missed payments and only a couple late several years ago, will this affect my application.
What to do ? Should I apply and hope the credit limit is more than £500 or just keep plodding on, it would be nice to get more onto 0% I so hate paying interest.MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

I'd apply as no harm done and Halifax usually give big limits.0

Hey HWG, i had been putting this off for years, when i first started on MSE, but someone suggested i give it a go (verbatim i think) as I had nothing to loose, (not the best credit rating). I was amazed to be accepted and they offered me the whole amount i needed (plus a little bit) so could transfer it all over. I put in the amount I wanted to balance transfer in the online application. It worked a treat for me as was previously paying over £100 per month in interest!!!
Now though the card is with my OH so I can't spend anything on it!
Looking forward to being a card tart for the duration of the amount.

Morning
)
I would give it a go - let us know how you get on.
I have been refused a card as I have too much owing elsewhere so I need to reduce that before they would even consider me.
Boo!
Fingers crossed for you!

Hey HWG hang in there, its difficult especially when we get near to payday, don't forget how far you have come and how much you have inspired others (me especially). You have been an inspiration to me, re your day to day savings and your ongoing savings plans. Be kind to yourself, its too easy to thing we are not doing anything brill, when small changes are making all the difference.
You have been a real inspiration to me, Keep on truckin Dolly xSealed Pot Challenge #1247 = £111.41/£5002011 Made on ebay to date £368.31 (exc P&P)Freebies £15 Amazon VoucherDFW Nerd * 1366, DFD September 2013 :jThe large print giveth, but the small print taketh awayTom Waits, Small Change :mad:0 -
Thanks Dolly , I think once you start on the DF journey you become very impatient some days are easier than others but we must keep going.

Hi HWG
I am also wondering how my petrol is going to last me till Friday, the red light will come on tonight!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Good news
Ebay money cleared so put £15 petrol in I will now make it through the weekend. Also found out bonus will be paid on Friday I dont have a clue how much so looking forward to checking online in the morning, even if its £10 better than a kick in the head.
Bad news
Ebayer is moaning about the condition of a top I sold says its not excellent condition despite only being worn a few times more like fair, why do these morons buy on ebay Im sure some do it just to get money off. I have replied just send it back if its not good enough for you I will refund it( then I will ban them from bidding on my stuff).
Its DH birthday on Saturday and I have just been and bought him a pile of shower gel and deodrant shuld keep him stocked up for a while and very MSE. I have reduced March overpayment by quite a bit to ensure we can have a few treats when we go away in March that should make it up to him.MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035
