My worry is once a card is paid off, if I close it then effectively on credit report i will be using more % of available credit and just lost xx credit due to closing a card if that makes sense.
IE currently use 89% of available credit, close off CC and lose a 4k credit limit so now using 94% of available credit and avail credit is 4k less.....i am rubbish at explaining things lol.
I don't even know if that's how it works, and it's a long way off before i need to worry about it lol.
Have a lovely day xx
I do understand what you mean, at the start I just wanted to close everything and I did close all the high interest things I had as I knew I would never get caught up with them again. I have now realised that I probably wont get any new cards authorised and now I'm getting some 0% deals I will use them to my advantage.

Would you not pay the £70 to your debt for this year HWG, just to cover the shortfall you found.
As for worrying about not having credit card, LMAO, thats so long away in my life, we will have gone thru' this recession and be on our way to the next before I will be eligable!!

I would have put the extra £70 to debt but when our interest rate when down it reduced by about a few hundred so I just rounded the payment up. Also DH is desperate to overpay the mortgage so this little sacrafice keeps him happy, not sure why he worries about this when we have 30k of cc debt LOL.
just completed a survey online £1 :T
Red this time next year im sure you will have some cc on 0% , watch out I could be travelling your way soon just had a text to say surprise party in Feb for one of the family they could have given us a bit of notice.
I can see next months overpayment disappearing before my eyesMARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

LOL it would probably cost us more than the flights to drive DH tank to the port, he is thinking about it so that means you will have to sort everything out and tell me when to be at the airport MEN !!!
We have a small stash of Euros from the regular visits so shouldnt need many.
Great saving on the fuel you could take a picnic with you make a day of it :money:MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035
