Im ordering Sky+HD through topcashback (cashback: £75.75) and I'm a little confused.
It says "New Customer Sky+ HD". Do I have to be a complete new customer to sky taking out this pack or just a new customer to the sky+HD pack (i.e we have standard cheap sky at the moment)?
Also, as were already a Sky customer, would I be eligible for the £50 M&S vouchers? I doubt so, but wouldn't mind some free vouchers
Thanks.

Thought for the day: each generation of mankind tends to hug the illusion of having reached the culmination of human achievement. Yet, as we scoff at our groping ancestors, so our descendants will surely scoff at us.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. I'm pretty certain you won't qualify as it's for those without an active subscription, whereas your just upgrading.
Worth a try, but don't count on the money.0 -
Thought so, thanks. If they say no then I'll complain anyway saying I was mis-sold, assuming it meant a new customer to the sky+hd pack and not just a new sky customer taking the hd pack.Thought for the day: each generation of mankind tends to hug the illusion of having reached the culmination of human achievement. I didn't get mine through a cashback site, but both myself, and the person who recommended me are getting £50 vouchers! :j0

You have to use the phone to recommend dont you? I wouldn't get the HD pack if I had to call, hate phoning people :rotfl:Thought for the day: each generation of mankind tends to hug the illusion of having reached the culmination of human achievement. I was sent the leaflet by my friend, and I gave them a call myself.
I didn't subscribe to the HD pack, as its £10 extra a month, just some of the entertainment/knowledge packs, plus have two months worth of free movies, and films.0 -

Sorry..how were you mis-sold? It clearly states in the smallprint below;Cashback is only for NEW customers only, unless stated otherwise.
Above the 'New Customer Sky+HD' the is a tab for 'New Customer Sky+'.
It also says;Join Sky today and earn Sky cashback. Now is a fantastic time to join Sky and earn cashback. Earn Sky cashback by clicking through and shopping as you normally would. Joining Sky will give you access to a world of entertainment, where you will find something to suit everyone. .......... This relates to genuine tracked transactions completed wholly online. PLEASE NOTE: This is for NEW customer sales bought online only. This offer is not available direct through Sky or through the call centers or retailers. Sky will be unable to assist you with any queries relating to your cashback.
Please Note: Ex Sky customers can't purchase online
People who live in flats of 6 or more can't order online
Pubs/clubs etc can't order online either. Domestic customers only.
As you are an existing customer & have already 'joined Sky',then you are not a 'New Customer' & if the was an option to 'Upgrade' then it would say 'Upgrade',just like it does on some of the options below, like "Broadband Unlimited Upgrade"
Or are you re-writing the definition of 'New Customer'...

Thats my point, it states that you have to be a new customer, but doesn't say customer for what.
I see 2 different meanings:
1.) New customer of Sky
2.) New customer of the SKY+HD pack
I am not dumb, I know they mean the 1st, but it doesn't state this. I can take the second meaning use that against them. I'm sorry if you don't understand or agree but to me, companies need to make these things dumb-proof, otherwise it's their fault.Thought for the day: each generation of mankind tends to hug the illusion of having reached the culmination of human achievement. I don't really see where there can be any confusion with 'Join Sky today.'Dave. :wave:0

Topcashback make the basis on which you use their site quite clear:forever.insane wrote: »... companies need to make these things dumb-proof, otherwise it's their fault.
http://www.topcashback.co.uk/TermsTerms and Conditions
....We cannot be held responsible if the merchant fails to report your sale to us.
...Whilst we will endeavour to recuperate non-payments from the retailer, the decision of ourselves, the retailer or retailer’s tracking agent is final.
http://www.topcashback.co.uk/sky-digital/Important Information
...Please do not make purchase decisions based on expected cashback as it is not guaranteed.See our Terms and Conditions for more information.
Topcashbacks's terms & conditions clearly address the position, in my view, in the event of any dispute, genuine or otherwise.0
