BT Broadband

Has any body had a problem with BT in that there internet was fine in the morning but then in the evening it has stopped working? it shows that im connected but nothings coming up when i open Internet Explorer, the page just times out. I havent had a problem like this before, i just wondered whether it could be an problem down at there end on the phone exchange?any advice would be appreciated :beer:

    I would recommed rebooting the modem when this happens. Sometimes they can get confused due to extra noise on the line. Also it could be that the modem itself has stopped working, have you tried to log into the modem to see that everything is fine.

    Knocked out here in NW London... called up BT CS and they had recorded message saying that there was a major fault with its BB and if you'r calling regarding that, they'r on the job!

    Working fine now!

    Yeah I had the same problem here in Lancashire yesterday. It seems ok today ...

    i live in Orkney and use BT, couldn't log on last night either,read a book instead:eek:

  • Yes wasn't working in Nottingham either last night. Major outage according to BT's Customer Service 0800 800 150 number. It's back working again this morning. Hurrah!!!!

    It's the same in Aylesbury. Cut off after 4 pm, could only use it this morning. I have tried everything plugging and unplugging and was getting quite desperate until I find the number and check the line and found it was on their end. Wonder whether we will be compensated?
