  • Hi

I have found reading this thread really inspirational! I know i'm really late, but please i can join this Challenge?

I just worked out i probably spent about £2000 on clothes and shoes last year, and that was money i really dont have (it all went on a credit card - i know, very bad).

I'd like to pledge £600 for the year.

So far i have to declare:

All Saints top £66 down from £165 :D
    H&M grey work dress £24.99

There are some things i'd like to buy this year:

    New black flat boots
    Black sandals
    Metallic/embellished sandals
    Brown leather bag
    Some summer tops/vests
    Shorts
All over embellished top from All Saints that i have been eyeing up forever (£150 but i'm not allowed to spend that much if at all possible)
    Dress for weddings

I have already ordered some possible boots and a LBD for the weddings i have so will probably have to declare those shortly i expect!!!

There is some head room in the budget for unplanned splurges, but it is a limit so lets see if i can stick to it!!!

  • Well I'm returning one of my skirts, so that's £12 off my total. And I can't decide if I like the other one *enough* to keep it. It's ok, but I think I could find something better. But as I bought it off eBay I guess my only option is to try to re-sell it?? What a pain!
    No. More. Waste.

Oh dear I fear there may be something to declare later on - the other day I did a big dorothy perkins order, as I wasn't sure what I wanted for my holiday and it was late and the offer of 20% was to end at midnight...

    Its arrived...

And I love most of it :(:(

got to figure out what I want, what I can face getting rid of, and ensure I don't spend ANYTHING this month on clothes... even though... I am going to see my best friend who I havnt seen in nearly 3 years!!! (I know, but she lives a long way, away) and that will be shopping and lunch, whops lol

I shouldnt say this... but thats not even half a pair of kurt geigers so it cant be that bad!

Only keep them if you cant face life without them. Try them on a few times over the weekend and then decide - the love normally wears off after a day or two

    Hi everyone

I must be a complete tightwad because my budget remains intact at £400.

The reason for this is that I'm still on the hefty side (not losing weight as quickly as I would like) and I am determined not to buy any clothes until I shift a stone at least.

I really don't feel like shopping while I'm this size:(

Hmmm, I probably need that question answered too! :rotfl:

Part of figleaves order arrived and I'm keeping two bras - £58.50 to declare for that. Another bra and pants set to arrive yet, and likely to keep them as it's the same style as one of the two I'm keeping but in a different colour, but have had orders unfulfilled by figleaves before, and they don't charge you till it leaves so will declare later.

Also bought another pair of jeans (same as ones I bought last month in a different colour) from ASOS, but in the sale and with a voucher, so only £22 (down from £50), but will declare when they arrive and are kept.

OK. I. Must. Stop. Spending. It's only March and I'll have blown it by the time the summer arrives at this rate.

  • £4.00 to declare for a top from a charity shop yesterday.
Luckily, I haven't felt much like buying clothes as I'm such a lump at the moment :o If i can get my (huge) butt in gear to lose some weight then I'll probably end up spending more on summery things - always a challenge to find the least amount of clothing to cover a big mass of body!
