Crazy 2011 clothes challenge

Hi all. I need to confess to some underwear buying. Saw some lovely underwear in Sainsbury's the other week but was very restrained and put it back. The other day it was half price so I got two sets of underwear for £16.50 but had £15 in Nectar points (I count them as treat money!) so I only had to pay £1.50. Result! Though to be honest I probably have more than enough now so should not buy any more for a while.
Going on holiday in April. Must diet. Must not buy more clothes!
Saw a nice bikini today. Looked at the price tag. £48! Are they mad?! Don't worry, soooo not tempted!Clothes challenge 2011 £254.08/£500!!!Toiletries challenge 2011 Trying!:j:T:j0 -
Evening girlies
Well.. I have nothing to declare!! If you remember, last thing I declared was two of those bodyshop vouchers, well i brought my sisters bday and mothers day pressies out of one of these vouchers, therefore swaping pressie money for a voucher, so I brought the lovely Peter Pan top I like out of the voucher money.. if that makes any sence?
Well - last day of challange tomorrow and think ive got £16 leftwoohoo - other challanges failed MISERABLY.
Been looking at my current wardrobes for my Holiday stuff this time - something I dont normally do, go me! However theres a couple of bits I think I do need. I have picked them from Dorothy perkins, however there is a 20% offer code which expires tomorrow at Mid night - although my new month doesnt officially start till the 28th think im going to turn a blind eye otherwise for sake of being stubborn i could be paying a lot more. As previously mentioned I wont be going over my monthly allowance0 -
I have a $21 to declare. I have started volunteering in a charity shop (mainly cos i am bored), and was surprised to learn that volunteers get a 30% discount! So for $21 I got two stripy tops with hoods, a heavy red cord jacket, a pair of trousers, and an interview blouse so yeah!
Off to buy DS1 some more swim wear shortly, so more spends to detail there later.
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Morning all,
Happy New Clothes all :j
Great news on the job Chev, even if unpaid at the moment, will get you out & meeting peeps + juicy discount. I'm curious as to what charity shops in NZ are like ? Please do tell.
I have spends to declare & am very grateful of my more generous budget this year or I would have already crashed out.
Fridays shopping trip with DD resulted in 6 vest tops for me at £9, leggings, shorts & undies for DD at £17.49 & then a rather sneaky buy of a pair of converse hi-tops for me in TKMaxx at a rather bargainlicious £26.99. That purchase is going to come back & bite me as I now have to buy DD a pair too. Thankfully the colour she wants is available on ebay for a similar price.
BrownGun86 - in this challenge ebay is your friend. I get the majority of my stuff there as I just couldnt afford to buy the same quantities new. My advice is to stick to brands you already know & do check sellers feedback.
All this frenzied shopping means that my total is now £106.64 & DDs total is £30.69
I'm on day 3 of my diet & have already lost 3lbs. So, with a wardrobe & trunk full of clothes that used to fit me, I'm hoping to be rediscovering old friends & not needing to buy much more .... :rotfl:0 -
debbiedeejay wrote: »:rotfl:Yes rosemary54 you did do well - they sound great bargains BUT you spent £117 on the above and now you are left with £104 and we haven't finished Feb yet:rotfl:
:rotfl::rotfl:well in my defense I probably won't buy anything else till the summer sales.I hate paying full price for anything so the Zara cardi, marks shoes and tops were quite rare but when you see something that really fits and looks good you have to go for it and of course the East items more than made up for the full price things:)
think I have now sorted what I am taking on holiday at long last and now the Zara cardi will tie in and make a few outfits complete:)(plus DS2 thinks Zara is trendy:))
getting ahead of myself and worked out a freedom tuesday outfit for work:)(saty at home monday so jeans in the garden)
new green bolied wool cardi, last years raspberry knit top and an ancient silk print skirt which I have always had trouble matching with other items...it is brown with rust/green and beige leaves on,will finish the outfit with brown boots and new green east bag.
looking forward to wearing new stilettos(pink) with old East dress in a beige/pink/brown/turquoise print along with wallis shrug BUT the drive is heel deep in mudso maybe that will have to wait:rotfl:

I bought my Uggs nearly 3yrs ago when I was in the States so I was lucky I got a good exchange rate - did wonder if I was pandering to fashion with an expensive spend but I am soooo glad I bought them. Have worn them lots (though they are bl**dy useless in the wet :rotfl:) and they have worn really well too.
Are the ones you're planning to buy the normal sheepskin ones or are they different (when you refer to leather?)
Hi kerri, they are Ugg Brooks boots, so they are leather. I've never been a fan of Uggs then I seen a woman at work with this lovely pair of long leather boots which looked like sheepskin inside. Turns out they were Uggs so they will be my next purchase. Might have to get them sooner than later though as they are more of a winter boot so might not be available much longer.0 -
Have bought another pair of per-una trousers with 30% off as I am living in the first pair which I bought in the sale as they're so comfy. M&S maxi skirt in sale £12, also Sainsburys Pj's £9 with 25% off. I need to slow down or I'll have used all my allowance. I hate paying full price for things too Rosemary, and I agree if something looks great you have to go for it if you can. For Freedom Sunday I wore a beige and green floral blouse wihich i don't wear much, as I've not got much that goes with it.0

Freedom sunday was a lovely ditzy flower skirt I normally wear in the summer, with leggings and a black v neck jumper, and a lovely rose print silk neck scarf that I dont normally wear0
