I have just had a look and people are selling the priority codes b.i.n for £30 and people are bidding on others (Some up to £10) sorry but I would rather wait 2 more days and collect 2 extra tokens. I was new to this last year and I managed to get a park I wanted in the location I wanted (newquay) and my 2nd choice of dates! I wouldnt pay for the priority codes!

usually the static caravans are nicer than the apartments / chalets ,on some sites!

hi was wondering if some one can explain what the priority codes are???
i received a priority booking form through post as we went last year, but it still says we need to collect 8 tokens ( instead of the ten usually) and doesnt mention anything about a priority code?/

The priority code is on the letter opposite to your address, this is called the sun reference number. Every day the sun prints codes/tokens with names like sand/ tent etc on. After 8 tokens/codes are printed the online website is open where you enter your sun reference number and the 8 code words, then you search and book for dates and holiday parks you want. Its worth noting that if the first hol/date isn't available reshuffle the order and it may give you the one you were first after. You can allows send off the form printed on the weds in the sun following the start with 10 tokens cut out daily from the paper, however this is like a lottery and you only sometimes get the first choice/date/or even anything, you have to be quick in posting, you can always use it for a second holiday although lately someone on mse gets access that allows everyone to book extra holidays (usually very limited dates/parks unless europe!) All the codes are printed daily on the newspaper thread and various other threads on here so technically you don't buy paper (I haven't for last 3yrs) and make sure you check back around 6-8pm on day of 7th code as we all try a bit of code breaking to get online early, was really chuffed one season when I managed to get code word first(got first choice of park/date yeah). Any dirt on the area/holiday parks are usually put on here, I've been to loads in cornwall, started venturing abroad last couple of years and if you miss out this time. There is always at least 2 papers offering same thing and sun does around 4/5 a year now, online is handy as you can get dates you want during school holidays as well!

priority code = ref number ,on the letter in the format of
1234567 / 123

you do not need the tokens at all,just the words from the tokens

Yeah, I'm not overly bothered about people selling those codes as I purchased one myself a few years ago - those codes are unique and usefull. What I think is disgusting is people selling the codes that are printed in the paper every day when people can access this information for free. I have noticed though that this year the priority codes have started off at high but it now prices whereas in the past if you bidded early they would go for £10 or less.

thanks for explaining! i was wondering i have got the prority form but my mum and dad want to come with us this year ( i have 5 children and me and hubby though) so obviously would need two caravans, can i book them on with me using the form too or do they have to send off for theirs seperately?? thanks

Further info below, I would expect you would need two booking codes if you wanted two caravans, not up on details for this but plenty of others on here have booked two caravans so I expect someone will give you further info on how to go about it, caravans take up to 8 people but when you go into reception they don't do head counts so there is no reason if you have a baby that you could just book an 8 berther (bit of a squeeze!), I expect I am totally wrong though and will get shot down in flames by someone with knowledge on bigger families.

yeh deffo need two caravans hubby and mother in law in one for 5 days doesnt bear thinking about hahaha thanks for your help

hmmm not sure TBH ,we are only a family of 4 ,so never tried booking for more
but I know others on here have,so hopefully be able to help

what I do know though,is that when we have booked in the past,we have had ( in with the confirmation letter) an offer to allow friends / family to get the same SUN deal, (same price and dates etc)
and we have taken up that offer and all was fine

not sure if you would want to bank on that though?!

are you needing school holiday dates ? as these go fast online,so you would be better to try and get / buy another code to have more chance of getting 2 holidays the same
