We love these SUN holidays,we have saved a packet as we can only go during school holidays
we have been to Butlins a few times, and other UK sites, but also France ( near Disneyland Paris ) which is a fab saving!! :)

BUT as I ( and many others ) always seem to need to remind people on here ....
ALWAYS check to see how much it would be to book the same holiday direct with the site instead of the SUN

as often,if you can go during term time then it will be cheaper to book direct by the time you add on the extras with the SUN deal
( you don't have to pay for entertainments passes or linen ,if you wont use them though )

if like me,you can only go during school holidays, then you will most definitely make a saving :)

Also BEFORE booking check out reviews on eg tripadvisor.com

Don't want to put people off but I have been disgusted at the state of Haven caravans (have been 4 times in recent past). I had low expectations and was still disappointed. They seemed to get worse on each holiday we went on. And it's not just me: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/watchdog/2010/11/haven_holiday.html
Just didn't want anyone getting too disappointed.
(Btw - and we always paid to upgrade and stayed in Deluxe caravans!!).

We have stayed at various sites - Haven and others, and must say we've either been lucky or you have been unlucky as we've been impressed with Haven every time we've stayed. Our last Haven was October to Marton Mere in Blackpool and were upgraded to a deluxe model (for free) and it was superb.

Everyone is entitled to opinions- but I felt it only fair to offer an alternative opinion.

The only sites I would personally avoid are John Fowlers as we have had issues every time we have stayed there.

Some of the nicest sites we have stayed at are Hendra in Newquay (which we go back to year after year) Ruda in Croyde Bay, Landscove in Brixton. Over the years we have probably stayed in around 20 parks so have a fair few to compare and contrast!

We have always been impressed with Haven sites. I would never stay in a chalet (eg Pontins) and avoid all other brands of Caravan parks due to problems in the past, but with Haven, we have always got a decent, clean caravan, though we did once have to request a move due to a smell but it was done quickly with very little fuss.

in august we stayed at a haven resort near exeter in a deluxe caravan, it was lovely, could not have asked for better, then at end of october we had a week at a parkdean resort in cornwall near the raf base, now that was horrible and they had the cheek to charge us an extra £60 to make sure we had heaters in the caravan:eek:
Take every day as it comes!!
