Thanks for telling us about the free listing weekend. My eBay notifications are really flaky so I wouldn't have known. I will try to summon the energy to list some more things.

Does anyone know - if you do auction style with BIN is the auction insertion still free, you just pay for the BIN insertion (40p I think)??

    Thanks

Sold 8 items on eBay last night btw, just waiting til I've posted to update sig with net amount. Should be about £25 I think :)
  • An update on my 10 magazines for anyone interested, 4 of them now have bids on them and all but one of the ones which haven't been bidded on have at least one person watching them. I currently have 4 people watching a magazine with Robert Pattinson from Twilight on the cover, I'm hoping a bidding war will ensue! But really, I don't mind what price my magazines fetch, they were only going in the bin anyway!
    Thank you competition posters!

Just had another buyer email me, she won a skirt from me and has sent a message saying I need to relist the item as she has a problem with her paypal and can't pay so will no longer be able to buy it. She doesn't have any feedback yet so is obviously new to ebay but I'm very annoyed as this is the second person in a week to do this !!!!!

Can you ask her to send a cheque? She has entered into a contract to buy it from you so should pay up!

I sold some DVDs on ebay and it would only let me put a max of £1 postage. After selling them Ive gone through to paypal to buy the postage and print off the labels. Its come out at £4.41.
    Has anyone else experienced this?
    and
Does ebay need to be notified that there postage costs on DVDs is wrong.

If I wasnt able to send them through my works postage then I would have made over £2 loss on each DVD.

I didn't know about this change (they keep amending things but they don't keep us informed do they) as I don't sell DVDs or CDs on eBay but just wanted to say a single one would cost 81p to post second class
I've got a BNIB fondue set I want to sell, but it's really heavy.

Does anyone use courier services than the RM? I sent a few things via couriers when the postal strike was going on.

I use interparcel.com for quotes but have only used it for international parcels - its good though

Posted a few things off today making over £27. Better than nowt

Happy about the free listing weekend!

However, I've not received a notification email about it yet, is anyone else the same? I wouldn't have known about it unless I had read it on here.
  • I haven't had an an email either, but it won't stop me listing! Got over 30 watchers on an item I thought was for the skip, so can't wait to see if I get a bidding war or a big disappointment

    It's not just me then!

Isn't it great when something you think won't do well ends up with lots of watchers (and bidders hopefully), I had a dress a few weeks ago that I was going to bin and ended up with over 30 watchers! :T

  • Hi all,

Just a quick question, if i relist unsold items for 99p on a free listing weekend, will that still be included or will it come out of my 100 free 99p start things?

I hope that makes sense because i'm sure i read something to that effect (although i could have possibly dreamt it :rotfl:).

    Thanks

    xx
