Does anyone watch VHS these days? I've just listed box set family film,VHS, never used, sealed. I wonder will anybody be interested. Even in my local charity shop they stoped accepting VHS.

Definitely not worth it. I've just seen a massive bundle of 270 videos (and good, well-known titles too) sell for £1.04. Unbelieveable!!!!

270 for £1.04 ?!! Good grieve...I don't think I'll sell this set, but hey, is already listed and costs nothing.
  • Do any of you have experience of selling furniture on ebay, for local pick-up? I have a couple of things I was thinking of listing. I don't want much for them, £10 would do, but I need rid of them quickly so was thinking of doing 3-days listings. Do you think that's long enough to gather interest & generate bids, or are longer auctions better for furniture?

I have no experience with furniture, but when I listed my old freezer for 99p, just to get rid of it, I had first bid after 2 hours, so yes, 3 day is enough to gain attention. Good luck.
P.S. I sold freezer for £52, after 5 days listing, so it can be done.

My clothes aren't selling too well at the moment either - in fact scratch that they're not selling AT ALL unless people are refusing to bid until the last second! They all end in about an hour so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some last minute bid wars from the watchers...

I am in the same situation! I have 24 items ending today, all clothing and accessories and only £6 so far in bids. The other £5 I have come from empty ink cartridges! lol

If not, just post it in Freecycle, maybe somebody out there still uses their VHS and want new titles to watch. You never know. :j

I am still amazed at how my items are selling. I have CK, FCUK, Topshop and Peacocks without bids. All new with tags!!! Then I have items from supermarket's clothing range and/or a few years old items that have bids on. I honestly do not understand it unless they count as vintage lol

Well 5 of my 7 listings have now ended with a grand total of, wait for it.....
    £0! Nothing sold at all!
I can't quite believe it, I've never done amazingly well from ebay but I've always made a bit...my last 2 items don't even have watchers anymore so I very much doubt they will sell. Not happy :(

I have some lovely boots which normally would sell for about £50 - no bids at all so far. Considering withdrawing them because I would rather wait two months and relist them than them only sell for the first bid I think

Check them on Amazon. I sell loads of VHS on my work Amazon account. The best sale ever we had for the video was £40 - it was an Elvis film with Kurt Russell starring as the King. They need to be unusual to be worthwhile usually, often not yet released on DVD
