  • Igomogam - hope you feeling better and have more energy soon. Rest up - Ebay will always be there!
& Slipper75 - sickness while looking after children is never good. Well done for listing a brand new item!

Im off to the post office this morning - weekend sales all paid up :) (& monies transferred to bank account ha ha!)
  • first bid - £25 on my wedding shoes! Mixed emotions lol but I guess I have to admit the chances of me ever wearing them again were pretty slim lol!!
  • CC - I think that's great you've managed to get a purchaser for your shoes. I still have my wedding things and it's been 8 years and they've just been in storage. Your post has convinced me to get them out and sell them for what I can! :)

  • Hi everyone. I missed the free listing at the weekend as I was away but have lots I want to sell before Christmas. Could someone help me out with how 'scheduling' works so you can still take advantage of free listing weekends? I've heard people talking about it and want to give it a go....thanks!

Hiabit of advice needed, I sold a pair of high end shoes, buyer bought using buy it now and left a message saying would prefer to collect, After sending a few mails when i didn't receive payment, buyer then says would pay cash on collection. I'm thinking to suggest picking up somewhere close to a bank so i can pay the money in before handing over the shoes( just to avoid any issue of fake money etc).

Does this seems okay? This is my first cash on collection sale

    Thanks

When you list your item there is a facility to set the time for when you want it listed. Just make sure you set the time for sometime during a free listing period and then most important bit is to make sure you go back and EDIT your list i.e. remove the scheduling BEFORE its due otherwise you will be charged a scheduling fee. You can use the scheduling toll at any time not just during FLW but I think it charges 6p for each list regardless whether its a FLW or not. It just means if a FLW is coming up you can get ahead as people tend to list lots of items so you can do it at your leisure during the week but the trick is to remember to edit before your list goes live!! Of course Eb*y only announce ( usually) 24 hrs before a FLW but if you are on the ball you can list stuff, schedule it then edit and resechdule - i.e. change the date and wait for a FLW to come a long............IYSWIM:) I am not that organised;)

    Thanks

Certainly cash on collection is advised so buyer cant claim didnt get item and get refunded through PP.... but fake money?? That would be an awful lot of tenners all duds?? £50 notes I would be more concerned about. And are you going to hold the buyer by the hand until you pay the money in cos you will have to do it over the counter to get the notes checked. And if they are duds ...then what?? But I can understand your concern and whatever makes you feel more comfortable I guess.........BTW was the item sold with a postal option or did you offer collection only?

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it and will certainly give it a go. Hoping there will be another free listing this weekend but I have a feeling that will be wishful thinking!!
