    Good luck Mavvymoo.....
Ive had a fab night on ebay. Im a bit in shock really - sold over £225 of items!! Totally unexpected. Cash very welcome though :)
Wondering if you can help please?
My Paypal account has £500 withdrawal limit, which has nearly been used up. Am I right in thinking that I need to have the account verified before I can withdraw any more funds? my plan is to use ebay "earnings to pay off bills. Is this the right way to do it? I'm wary of setting up a direct debit agreement, do I have to do this?
Lost 38.5 lb with SW so far, 56LB to go!:A

Can I ask what people are selling on ebay at the moment?

I typically just sell clothes that my DD's have grown out of or my mum?! But even these sales aren't bringing any decent money in.

I sold a bnwt swimming costume from M&S for £1.04, and 2 lovely summer dresses for 99p :(

I always start my listings at 99p, is this where I am going wrong? I didn't think I would get any bids if I set it any higher, plus there are the added fees.

I'm beginning to lose all hope with ebay :(

Personally I would suggest any brand new items especially like M&S Next are better to start at higher price rather than at 99p OR better to keep reserve price so if you don't get the price you expected, then you don't have to sell it.

The used clothing is usually sold in bundles to get a better price.

This is what I think but some better experinced might have some more ideas.

I hardly sell any clothing items but other bits which I no longer need...;)

I find women's clothes don't do well on ebay, unless you have 'good' brands, e.g. per una does well. I've had much more success selling my OH's clothes!

Thank you both for your replies, my mum only ever shops in M&S so the clothes I sell for her are mainly Per Una or Autograph.

I will try starting the listing at a higher price, I suppose I have nothing to lose.

My mum has given me some of my dads trousers that no longer fit him, he's on the rather large size and she thinks the clothes are too good for charity. Some still have the tags on. problem is they are thick and heavy cords, so totally the wrong time of year to be selling them.

Its better to wait till Free Listing day for listing higher price items than paying for listing fees...;)

Most probably this weekend would be FLW, not sure though...:)

I would start branded items at a higher starter price even if its £1.99! Things like that sold for me when we had the buy it now free listing a couple of weeks ago.
Im lucky I was a bit of a collector/horder when I was younger - and refused to throw anything away. My parents are now emptying the attic and Im selling off my collections ! :)

Actually, my OH is on the large size too - XL and XXL men's clothing gets good prices. Def worth giving it a go.

My clothes seem to go OK - branded rather than designer BTW - so nothing special. I put 'outfits' together or set ( 3 T shirts etc) I also list mainly on FLWs and most of it I start at 4.99 - seems to sell better than when its listed at 99p for some reason! Also brand new stuff NEVER start at 99p always wait for a FLW!

Plus sizes men and women always seem to go well - although I have now got rid of all my 18 plus things;):j;)
