  • finally sold my puschair! can't believe the buyer is travelling 120miles just to collect. i've reached my target of selling 25 items every month:j and I still have 35 listed. they're not doing so well though, all 99p and only 5 have bids. At least I'm getting rid of them :)

I work in estate agency & it is just awful when buyers pull out with no regard for the vendors

My 21 items that sold at the weekend have netted me £106 after fees, postage etc - really happy with that.

2 relists and 5 new things on atm - 2 have bidders already.

  • its so good to see a few sales - even if it is only a few items.
i always try to think of it as a few more quid than I had last week & a bit less clutter in the house lol!
I have at least 20 t shirts my brother gave me to sell, all Henleys, Ben Sherman, Goi Goi etc. Tried a few at £5 each with free postage but no luck with any of them, so might list them all at 99p each and a few quid postage just to get them away!
Also gearing up for a car boot sale once the better weather comes in - so anything that is worth more that hasn't sold on ebay I might keep for that :-)

I totally agree CC! And I have to admit that everytime I see a Hoarders show I start piling things up to list on Ebay :D

  • Well the 'mystery' of the items that I still have unpaid for from the weekend has been solved - I emailed 2 buyers yesterday. Both replied stating they were waiting to bid on items I have finishing this Sunday! Think thats quite cheeky - as I am putting more items on tonight so what if they wanted to wait until they ended in 10 days time!!! Hm... I think a week is doable and that is it. Cant believe people dont ask before they decide to do things like that!
  • Thanks guys! It's our first time selling and got really excited and told our parents and a couple of my close friends so we probably jinxed it :o our house has been on the market just over 3 months and only 4 viewings, wrong time of the year to be selling. We've never looked at any house before the offer so the last 2 weeks have been very busy but loving it :) only to be let down. Quite disheartening :( we may have lost some money as well cos we've already paid a deposit for the sale and purchase to the solicitor. We might take it off the market at the end of the month to 'let it rest' and start again in the spring. :)

sophiasmum - I've done that before but emailed the seller straightaway after winning the first item. Hopefully they'll bid more to get the 2nd item and they might ask for a combine postage discount.

I have 1 item ending on saturday and the rest sometime next week. I've failed on my 'no buying' rule and just bought a gorgeous clarks boots for dd  for £4.77 all in. bargain!:p
