  • merrymary, you made a nice amount there! well done. As for dropping bags outside of charity shops, I would worry about people stealing them, but I do see people leaving them outside ours so it's probably ok to do.

jtz - don't fret, I'm sure that if you've priced them competitively you'll get last minute bids.

I currently have 10 out of 30 items selling... £40 bids so far. Most of the stuff selling are things that I rescued from my mum's charity bag (with permission). She doesn't use ebay but is always happy for me to sell her old stuff :) My own stuff isn't doing anywhere near as well!
  • 6 things have ended but none have any bids, I don't normally end listings during the day but tried to get lots more done last weekend, nevermind will relist some of them this evening for 7/10 days. Got another 25 ending today but only 1 bid so far

mid January isnt a great time to end listings
many folks on monthly pay will be 5-6 weeks between salary payments
  • Not a bad evening for me at all.
Sold more than I was expecting and still have another 17 to finish yet.
  • Not doing too badly - I need to work out how much for 2012 so far....One comic I listed sold for £5.50 :) not bad as I bought it for 40p 24 years ago! ish. Listed another 12 anyway....to end next Sunday

too_much_debt - Do some relisting. You never know - could sell next week.
  • Yeah, I know January is a bad month but I didn't have high prices on the items, prices ranged from £1.25 up to £8. Going to wait for the next FLW for the higher priced items (items I want more for) and start the things I just want rid of at 99p tomorrow and Tuesday.

  • ^I think you really must just have been unlucky this weekend, as I had a pretty good night for bids, best in a while. What sort of items were you selling?

I didn't sell a few books, think I will just c/s them as they were only worth pennies and are taking up space.
