Why no box for zero? i can't fill in the poll.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Aye, none here too.
Did receive a council one after I forgot to display my wife's disabled badge, but appealed it and won.0 -
1one, for the moment.
my NY resolution is to garner as many as possible, building up to an impressive portfolio.
then I'll post it to the 'experts' at District Enforcement (see other thread) to assist them in their post-grad research.0 -
1I have only had the one - where I was the keeper but not the driver - but we keep trying to collect more at the local Supermarkets. Tried again really hard today, five hours with OH and DD shopping in various stores (including the Supermarket) where a certain PPC reckon the restriction is 2 hours. Yes, course it is, sure we are not allowed to shop and have lunch in the superstore cafe then?
But we got back to car in eager anticipation and - not a sausage on the windscreen! We were convinced we'd come back to a PPC love letter! Not that they would have known which of us was driving on arrival of course so what would it matter?
And whilst I would never park in someone's driveway nor overstay in a small private car park nor park in any type of 'disabled bay', I make NO apologies for parking like that over time in large Supermarket car parks. They should NOT be threatening their customers like they do and it sickens me in particular that they think they can act as judge and jury with vulnerable disabled people, making it up as they go along about Blue Badges which do not apply in law.
IMHO people like us overstaying just proves that PPCs at Supermarkets are utterly pointless. Roll on more pieces of worthless rubbish on my windscreen in 2011, they are merely flyers to be ignored like any other unsolicited material.
When the PPCs are booted out of Supermarkets I would be happy to comply and pay a P&D amount to that Supermarket/landowner. But in a free car park to be told by a parasite third party 'parking firm' that I should pay them £75 because my car was there too long? They can swivel!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

2011 is shaping up to be an interesting yr.
the clamping ban (please God).
a faltering lobby campaign by the BPA.
a growing public awareness of their 'let's round up a few cows after adjusting our stetsons' methodology.
I've been knocking around this board for just a few months. like most, I've got other things to be getting on with before I look at PPC's but like any good, red-blooded englishman ('all hail to the ale and a glass of fruit-based drink for the ladies') I take offence at the blatant injustices of this 'industry'.
2011: let's see you get out of that one, perky.0 -
None as yet for me either, although I very much hope to get one in the post soon, after semi deliberately baiting them [STRIKE]by parking[/STRIKE] after my car was parked in a 2 hour car park for 4 hours yesterday. The ridiculous thing was, this carpark is across the road from the official multistorey for the shopping centre I spent said 4 hours in. The multistorey costs money (pay on exit) and is hideously designed so that anyone with a car bigger than a vectra has no chance whatsoever with the space sizes and the entrance is shared with a bus station so you must queue for hours to get in and out with the sales on atm.
So whilst the lemmings queued to pay the driver of my car parked up and sauntered across the road.
It was one of those CCTV jobbies where they don't actually have attendants, just send you the junk mail straight away, so watch this space.

So this clearly shows an irresponsible attitude to parking on private property and as such is apparently not supported by the users of this forumHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I promise to ensure no other motorist is deprived (quiet car parks, etc.).
I promise to overstay only by a few minutes.
a more reasonable approach to protest than the road your 'industry' takes re the motoring public, as I'm sure you'll agree.0 -
