I accidentally washed my mobile phone in my trouser pocket. When I contacted the insurance division I was told that as I had not reported the issue within 48 hours the claim might be rejected. Even though I had tried to dry phone out. Once the claim was submitted they phoned back to say that as I had placed the phone in the machine I had not exercised sufficient care - it is in the terms and conditions - and the claim was rejected. I thought this was what the Royalties Gold Insurance covered but I was wrong. Beware.
