iPhone 4 Insurance
Looking to get an iPhone 4 with O2, and want some insurance for it.
Not too worried about theft, but want cover against loss or accidental damage.
CUSC don't seem to cover loss so that rules them out.

Do you have home insurance? If so, can you check with/inform them that you want an iPhone covered.0

Same situation as me, i'd like an iPhone as my contract upgrade next month but there's no way i'd get one without insurance, at the same time i don't want to pay £7+ a month as well as the monthly contract charge. Then i read Martin's page on insurance for all mobile phones in general which states most home insurers include iPhones.
My Mum is iffy about it but i'm sure she'll come round.0 -
some banks do Free insurance with certain accounts Iam with NatWest and i get it free :beer:0

I was about to say the same as beanys.
I'm with Barclays and I get mobile phone insurance (theft/damage etc) with them through a graduate additions account. I know they offer it in other accounts too.
A colleague is with Halifax and they too give a similar option.
Some of the networks do have third party companies but read the small print carefully...another colleague during the 3GS days had his stolen and while he swears blindly it was covered, the insurance only covered for damage.
Took him months to finally get a replacement out of them (with an additional excess).0 -
look at the barclays acccount offer, they have 2X phone cover,.

Just found InsureandGo's Gadget insurance.
http://gadget.insureandgo.com/compare.aspx
Their "Platinum" package gives loss / theft / accidental damage cover on an item up to £500 with a £25 excess, for £42.62 a year (~£3.55 a month).
Sounds ok?Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -
That does seem good. Do you know much on their reliability?0

I accidentally washed my mobile phone in my trouser pocket. When I contacted the insurance division I was told that as I had not reported the issue within 48 hours the claim might be rejected. Even though I had tried to dry phone out. Once the claim was submitted they phoned back to say that as I had placed the phone in the machine I had not exercised sufficient care - it is in the terms and conditions - and the claim was rejected. I thought this was what the Royalties Gold Insurance covered but I was wrong. Beware.im with RBS and have royalties gold covers 2 phones including iphone and other smart phones £12.99/months this works for me as it has other benefits so its worth paying the fee:D
or just royalties £6.99/month covers 1 phone0
